Dr. Jackson received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Dalhousie University in 1987. Upon graduation he practiced in the Canadian Dental Services until 1997. During this time, he served in CFB Esquimalt, Fort Knox and CFB Valcartier. While at the US Army Dentac, Fort Knox, he completed a two-year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry in 1993. He retired to Nanaimo having always loved Vancouver Island and entered private practice. In 2009, Dr. Jackson built Avonlea Dental Clinic where he continues to practice today.
Dr. Jackson has been actively involved in dentistry at the local, island and provincial levels. He served as the President of the Nanaimo District Dental Society, Treasurer of the Upper Island District Dental Society, as the Upper Island Council Member for the College of Dental Surgeons of BC and is currently the Secretary for the BC Academy of General Dentistry.
He particularly enjoys solving complicated dental cases and endeavors to help people achieve the smile they’ve always wanted.
