Veneers – Veneers provide a wafer-thin porcelain cover for the front of the tooth, which can be used to correct many defects such as discolouration, mild crowding and gaps.
Often very little work is needed to the tooth itself and veneers last for many years.

Crowns – Used to strengthen heavily filled teeth or reshape teeth, which are badly misshapen or out of line. Unlike veneers crowns cover all surfaces of a tooth. Crowns can be made from gold, porcelain covered precious metal of totally out of porcelain using the newer stronger zirconium based crowns.
These new all ceramic crowns are as strong as metal based crowns and are much more natural looking. They do not leave a black line at the gum margin as do many metal-based crowns.

Bridges are used in some situations to replace missing teeth. Teeth either side of the gap are prepared in the same way as for a crown. The gap is bridged with an additional tooth or teeth attached to the crowns on either side of the gap. Modern all porcelain bridges are now available in a lot of cases.
