We hope everyone is remaining happy and healthy. We are enjoying seeing our regular patients again, still working under the current restrictions and doing everything we can to look after you all. A big heartfelt thank you to all our wonderful patients for bearing with us during these strange times.
We still have some treatment backlog but are also now getting routine examination appointments into our working day. Please contact us in the usual ways if you require advice, have an enquiry about anything or wish to make an appointment.
Good luck to all those who have now gone back or are going back to school, college or university. For those who are allowed to play contact sports – please remember your mouthguards!
We all hope you remain well and stay safe, sending all our best wishes from all the team at Auckland Dental Practice
We have been back doing face-to-face dentistry now for a few weeks and our thanks go out to everyone for bearing with us. We are working hard to minimise the impact of this unusual time and get back on track.
We currently have to wear a higher level of PPE now for certain treatments in order to look after you properly and keep everyone including us and our staff all safe. It takes time to put on and take off this PPE and then clean the surgery down afterwards. Our profession has always been renowned for cleanliness, but the current levels we are attaining are even higher than they used to be. We are also conforming to social distancing measures in order to keep everyone safe. It should be remembered that there is no evidence of Covid-19 transmission (or any other disease previously) occurring in increased rates in dental staff or dental patients.
We have implemented our new measures and phased return by dealing mainly with emergency and urgent cases and we are now moving towards some routine care. Our ultimate aim is to return to normality. In line with government guidance, all patients have to be assessed for Coronavirus infection and have medical histories updated before their appointment. We will be unable to see anyone with Covid-19 or who is self -isolating. As you can imagine, having to contact and speak to everyone before their appointment, the putting on and taking off all additional PPE and deep cleaning of surgeries takes a lot of time.
