Chelmer Village Dental – Best Dental Clinic in Chelmsford is an established Private and NHS dental practice based in Chelmer Village, near the town centre of Chelmsford, Essex.  With a dedicated team of experienced dentists we offer a full range of both NHS and Private treatments.  We pride ourselves on the quality and results we achieve through both our NHS and Private Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr Joe Ballentyne trained and qualified at Bristol University. After gaining extensive experience in both NHS and Private dentistry in a practice in Devon, Joe joined Chelmer Village Dental in 2008.
Joe is the principal dentist and co-owner of Chelmer Village Dental. He has a special interest in dental implant work as well as a range of cosmetic and general dental treatments including smile makeovers and minor orthodontic corrections. He splits his week between Chelmer Village Dental and his other practice in Bishops Stortford www.smileandwellbeing.com . Joe is a universally liked dentist, and is very popular with nervous patients. In his spare time Joe enjoys motor racing, cooking, travelling and is an avid Manchester United fan!

Dr Mark Glennie qualified from the Royal London Hospital in 1983. He has worked in Norfolk and East London before starting at Chelmer Village Dental in 2007. Working full time at the practice since 2007 Mark is popular with many NHS and private patients at the practice.
He has kept abreast of changes in dentistry from veneers in the mid 1980’s to Implantology at present. He offers a range of private cosmetic options and has recently completed a course in dental implantology. Outside of work interests include music, reading and an unhealthy obsession with Celtic and West Ham United football clubs

Dr Gaya Sorriyacumar qualified from Kings College London in 2009. She continued her postgraduate studies by completing her MFDS with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons Edinburgh in 2012.
Gaya joined the practice in 2016. Whilst working predominantly on the NHS she also has a special interest in providing cosmetically focused private treatment, and is very good with treating nervous patients. Gaya undertakes cases in short term straightening of teeth including C-FAST and Quick Straight Teeth systems, transforming smiles and endeavouring to meet her patients’ expectations.
Combined with her excellent clinical skills, Gaya is gentle, approachable and caring, and takes pride in providing painless quality dentistry, which makes her very popular with patients.
