G.V Shaw Dental Surgery – Best Dental Clinic in Cambridge was established in 1989 by Gordon at Sawston Health Centre. It has gradually expanded over the years.
Our associates are Emilie Eve who qualified from Birmingham University in 2008 and Abi Thillai who qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ in London in 2006.
As having good oral hygiene plays such a significant role in dentistry, we offer the services of two very experienced dental hygienists, Caroline Shaw & Hannah Shaw. Most our staff have been with us for a number of years.
In 2003 due to our continued growth we moved to our current premises in Pampisford.
Our priority to our patients is to offer a high level of quality dentistry as well as advice on preventative treatment. Regular examinations and regular visits to the hygienist will help to dramatically reduce the risk of developing cavities or gum disease. This use of preventative dentistry would be reflected in the reduced cost of dental bills, compared to treating active problems.
We are an Independent practice.
Patients pay a yearly registration fee of £30. If a patient registers in or after September then we require them to pay the registration fee for the rest of the year of £20 and also for the following year.
As a registered patient at the practice you will be charged reduced fees and if you ever need advice out of surgery hours a number is provided.
Emergency cover is also provided by phoning either of the surgery numbers or the emergency mobile number shown above.
Children will be seen under the NHS at the practice as long as a parent is registered with us.
We have three highly experienced dental surgeons at the practice.
Gordon Shaw, Principal Dentist, qualified in 1981 from The Royal London Dental Hospital.
Emilie Eve who qualified from Birmingham University Dental School.
Abi Thillai who qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St. Thomas’ in London in 2006.
The dental surgeons maintain a very strong commitment to post graduate education, innovation and bringing modern evidence based approaches to the dental practice.
