Kingsgate Dental Practice originally opened its doors in 1946 and was taken over by its fourth owner in July 2014. All of the team have strong ties with Durham and the University, making us all extremely passionate about the area and the local people. We are proud to carry forward the practice’s personable family ethos that has been prominent throughout its history.

Born and raised in Durham, David grew up in the local village of Sacriston. A big believer in lifelong learning, David has continued his professional development whilst working in practice, determined to collect more letters against his name! He is a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons and is also qualified to train and supervise graduate dentists. Currently, he is undertaking an extended implant course, learning from some of the best implant specialists in the profession. David is married to Katy with a young daughter Emily and their “Heinz 57“ dog named Socks.
Natalie qualified as a Dental Therapist & Hygienist at Liverpool University in 2010 having previously worked as a dental nurse for 3 years. Her aim is to maintain and improve the standard of oral hygiene treating and preventing gum disease by teaching patients about the importance of looking after their teeth and gums at home. Natalie is optimistic that by assisting patients in the use of toothbrushes and interdental aids they will have a happier healthier mouth.
