Dr Raj Lakshmiah has been the principle of the practice since April 2006. He is a doubly qualified surgeon with both dental and medical degrees. He has done a three years post graduate training (MDS) in Oral & Maxillofacial surgery in India and also successfully completed FDS RCS in 1999 at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, London. Dr Raj has worked in the Oral &Maxillofacial Department in various Hospitals in UK since 1998 and he has a special interest in minor oral surgical procedures and dental Implant work. He has been doing the Minor Oral Surgery (Tier 2) referral service for the past 3 years. His passion towards research made him to enrol with University of Liverpool and he is currently researching ‘Carbohydrate metabolism in Head and Neck Cancer’ for his MD degree. He regularly conducts educational courses and meetings at Queens Drive Dental Surgery and provide a healthy environment for the continuous learning.
