If you’ve been searching for an amazing dentist, someone who truly cares about you as a person, not just your teeth, Dr. Yates is the one! I feel incredibly fortunate to have found her for my special needs son. Her gentle touch and patience, and genuine desire to make her patients feel comfortable and at home are truly exceptional! She is without a doubt, the best dentist I have had in my 60+ years. I cannot recommend Dr. Yates highly enough! She is truly one of a kind!!

Dr. Barfield is no longer here. I have been a patient of this practice for over 20 years, and I’m incredibly disappointed with how this transition was handled. At no point before my appointment was I informed that Dr. Barfield was no longer with the practice. I only found out while I was already sitting in the chair for my cleaning when an unfamiliar dentist walked in. I also noticed that Elizabeth at the front desk is gone, and it appears to be an entirely new staff. My first impression of the new dentist was not a positive one. Within about 20 seconds of looking in my mouth, I was told I had a cavity. In more than 20 years as a patient—and having only had two cavities in my entire life—that immediately made me question the diagnosis and left me feeling uneasy. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant and professional, and I don’t fault the new team personally. They have taken over an established practice and are understandably hoping to retain existing patients. My disappointment is with the complete lack of transparency. Patients who have trusted a dentist with their care for decades deserve to be notified when there is a change in ownership or providers before arriving for an appointment—not to discover it while sitting in the dental chair. That lack of communication damaged the trust I had in this practice, and unfortunately, it’s the reason I will not be returning.

I didn’t like it. I drove 45 minutes to my son’s dental appointment only to find out Dr. Barfield retired no phone call or email. I met with Dr. Yates, who was very nice and kind. It’s hard trusting someone after 20-plus years it felt like a breakup. I love Dr. Barfield and his entire staff.

I had a horrible experience at a previous dentist when I was 16 and it made me too terrified to go back. But I came here after 20 years and they were super kind and wonderful. 10/10 can't wait to see them again ♡ thanks for helping me overcome the traumatic stuff i went through at the last place.
