209 NYC Dental is a Midtown Manhattan practice on East 56th Street (1st Floor) — a long-tenured neighbourhood practice the clinic describes as the oldest continuing dental practice in New York State, founded in 1887. The practice operates seven days a week with weekday hours from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Saturday hours from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, and Sunday hours from 9 AM to 3 PM, with same-day emergency services for sudden tooth pain or trauma. Multiple providers including Dr. Stella Park, Dr. Ahn, Dr. Reddy, and Dr. Wang share the patient load across the seven-day schedule.
For comprehensive care, the team handles diagnostic and preventive dentistry — exams, cleanings, and the routine maintenance work that catches small issues before they become bigger ones. Restorative work covers dental implants, dentures, dental crowns, and root canal treatment. Cosmetic dentistry includes Invisalign clear braces — the practice carries Diamond Invisalign Provider status, which puts it in Invisalign's top provider tier. Periodontics handles gum disease treatment, and pediatric dentistry runs alongside adult care for whole-family appointment visits. Tooth extractions and emergency services round out the in-house service mix.
If you want a Midtown East practice with 137 years of operational continuity, Diamond Invisalign provider status, and seven-days-a-week scheduling, this fits.
The clinic uses an iTero machine for digital scanning, digital X-rays, and equipment from Midmark, Straumann, Invisalign, SomnoMed, Hiossen, and Vatech. The East 56th Street location is described as near MOMA and Bloomingdale's — convenient for Midtown East residents and shoppers. Searches that bring patients here include oldest dental practice in NYC, Diamond Invisalign provider in Manhattan, family dentist near MOMA Midtown, dental implants on East 56th Street, periodontist in Midtown East, and Sunday dental appointments in NYC. Pediatric dentistry covers the care a growing smile needs — first visits, cleanings, fluoride, sealants, and gentle cavity treatment for children.
Invisalign straightens teeth with a series of clear, removable aligners — a discreet alternative to braces for adults and teens.
Traditional braces use fixed brackets and wires to correct crowding, gaps, and bite problems across a wide range of cases.
Dental implants replace missing teeth with a post set in the jaw and topped with a custom crown, restoring chewing function and limiting bone loss.
Porcelain veneers are thin, custom shells bonded to the front of the teeth to address chips, gaps, and discoloration as part of a smile plan.

This is by far the best Dental practice I’ve ever experienced and in NYC! Not one to usually enjoy the dentist, Dr. Reddy (and dental assistants) made my visits extremely comforting, professional, one of a kind, painless and something I actually looked forward too! They also give you a x ray and show you scans to provide reasons for potential treatments. Everyone from the front desk to the dentists were very kind and welcoming. It’s the first time in my life I left smiling and happy for taking care of my teeth the proper way. As for billing and reasons for certain services they are 10/10, upfront, clear, not pushy and no upselling! It’s also very convenient that it’s by so many subway stops. I was really surprised in my few visits the last couple of weeks I never once experienced any pain or discomfort. They also make sure any fillings are perfectly fitted before you leave. Dr. Reddy was the first dentist I saw at 209 a year or so ago. I chose to stick with her and I couldn’t have made a better choice! She really cares about the person, the passion for dentistry, the staff and making sure the person leaves with the best quality and experience. If you’re looking for a dentistry that will change the way you think about the dentist, book your appointment (by the way super easy to book appointments too) with Dr. Reddy (or their other talented and caring dentists)! I’m not joking while getting my filling put in I actually said “this reminds me of the spa”! Fair pricing for the quality as well! 100/100!!
I recently visited 209 NYC Dental for the first time with my child in December. As a new patient during one of the busiest times of year—when many people rush to use remaining insurance benefits—I wasn’t sure what to expect. The check-in process was thorough, and while there was some waiting, this seemed perfectly reasonable given the seasonal rush. When I was asked to pay upfront for my procedure, I inquired about the policy. This practice didn’t surprise me, as I’ve encountered the same approach at other medical providers, including major academic medical centers like Columbia University Irving Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian, where payment responsibility is routinely confirmed before appointments. What truly stood out was the quality of care once we were seen. Dr. Park and her assistant were exceptional with my child—keeping the atmosphere relaxed, engaging her in light conversation, and expertly easing her nerves throughout the visit. Dr. Ifraimov went above and beyond by taking care of an unscheduled procedure for me, saving me from having to return for a follow-up visit. Both experiences were professional, well-organized, and genuinely attentive. Communication was clear at every step, and the treatment exceeded my expectations. This is top-notch dental care delivered with skill and consideration. I’m grateful we found this practice and would confidently recommend it to other families.
Highly recommend this office. Dainea, the treatment coordinator, was absolutely amazing from the very beginning. She went out of her way to help me secure an appointment before the end of the year so I could maximize my insurance benefits, which I truly appreciated. She was organized, responsive, and made the entire scheduling process completely stress-free. Dr. Reddy is one of the kindest and most gentle dentists I’ve ever met. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire visit. I honestly didn’t feel the injection at all, which says so much about her skill and gentle approach. The procedure itself was quick, smooth, and completely painless, and I felt at ease the whole time. From start to finish, the entire team made me feel cared for and comfortable. This was hands down the best dental experience I’ve ever had, and I would highly recommend this dental office to anyone looking for exceptional care.
I just had my first visit at this office and it was great! I was seen right away after check in. The entire visit was efficient and the staff were very transparent and helpful throughout. They were not pushy on trying to sell me “extra stuff,” like my old dentist office had done in the past. I had a great check up here at 209.
Extremely Disappointing First Visit at 209 NYC Dental This was my first time visiting this dental office, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing from the very beginning, primarily due to the front desk, lack of compassion and billing process. There was no greeting or attempt to make a new patient feel welcome. The interaction immediately started with “What’s your name?” and “Can I have your ID?” followed by being directed to make payment, with no explanation of next steps or what the charges included. The biggest issue was lack of transparency around pricing, insurance and the attitude towards addressing it and making the patient comfortable. The staff could not clearly explain costs ahead of payment and assumed patients were aware of last-minute insurance updates. In my case, no one mentioned during appointment booking that providing a panoramic X-ray from my previous dentist could help reduce costs. This was only brought up afterward, and when I asked why it wasn’t communicated earlier, I was told, “Didn’t you read the email sent an hour ago?” which felt dismissive and unprofessional. For a practice that accepts same day appointments and walk-ins, appointments booked a day in advance, patients shouldn’t be expected to already know all the right questions to ask. That defeats the purpose of having a reception team to guide new patients. They also require payment before treatment, and any adjustments mean rescheduling the appointment entirely wasting an entire morning. I came with a referral and high expectations, but the front desk organization, communication, and billing process made this a frustrating experience. If you are still considering this office, I strongly recommend confirming all insurance details, X-ray requirements, and charges in advance.
