About 23rd Street Dental
23rd Street Dental operates on Northwest 23rd Street in the Central Oklahoma City area of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Sedation dentistry uses inhaled, oral, or intravenous options to help patients relax through treatment, ranging from nitrous oxide for mild anxiety through to deeper sedation for longer or more involved procedures. It is commonly used for patients who have avoided the dentist for years due to fear.
Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.
A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.
Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.
Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.
Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost.
They were so kind and really listened to me when I said I had pain or needed an adjustment. I will be back!
Dr. Hoang is the best dentist I’ve ever been to. I had a cavity and he spent extra time making sure I was numb before treatment. A previous dentist botched a fix on the same tooth. He genuinely cares and that’s all you can ask for. P.S. Paige, one of their hygienists, is solid too!
This is a great dentist to come to. While coming to a dentist doesn't cause me panic or anything so it was quiet surprising when he was doing a tooth extraction and was having to put a lot of pressure I ACTUALLY fell asleep during the procedure. I did not have anything to knock me out or relax me. So, in my opinion, You've got a great dentist when that occurs. Take a chance and have a great dental experience.
I had an appointment with Olivia and Dr. David today and they were both fantastic and personable!! highly recommend! Thank you both so very much!!
It’s a really nice and clean dentist office. I am so happy with the service that was done on me . Dr. Hoang and his assistant Lily , Taylor are amazing and people all staff . They listen and explain everything clearly I would definitely refer this place to anyone .
The doctors, hygienists, and assistants here are all super sweet and wonderful! They’re very honest and forthcoming and really help ease your mind about going to the dentist. 10/10 recommend!
