Update 9/19/25: I cancelled an appointment online and via their own text message and they charged $50 anyway.

While the service was fine the communication and transparency about costs and insurance is something to be less than desired. I went to this place three times for cleanings in about 18 months. I told them my insurance and they verified that they took my insurance. However, they failed to inform me that my insurance is Out of Network. They charged me over $800 for a cleaning and x-rays even with out of network insurance that price is very inflated. I now have used all my dental benefits for the year and have no funds left over for the cavities that need to be filled. The estimate for 3-4 cavities to be filled is also almost $2K. I have never paid those prices. When I called the dentist office and asked why I was never informed they are OON they said they are not responsible for telling me and showed no empathy. Now I have to pay over $100 for a cleaning that should have been $0 if I was in-network. This is the worst place and refuse to come back.

The customer service was on a level bellow dirt. They told me to wait 1 moment and i waited for 5 minutes for nothing. Then called her back and did the same.

I have been a patient at this practice for many years, and my wife and I have both received our dental care here. Unfortunately, over the past year, I've noticed a significant decline in the quality of care, and I'm now considering switching to another dental office. First, the dental cleaning has become noticeably less thorough. The cleaning used to include a rinse before the procedure, but that step has been skipped recently. The entire cleaning now takes only about 15 minutes and feels much less detailed than it used to. I also have a small fixed retainer, and my previous hygienists would always use a floss threader to clean underneath it. Recently, that area has simply been skipped. In addition, there seems to be frequent staff turnover, and I rarely see the same hygienist twice. Second, I'm concerned about the periodontal examination. I have a history of periodontitis and underwent bone grafting surgery several years ago. In the past, both at this office and at other dental practices, my periodontal pocket depths were carefully measured and documented during follow-up visits. Recently, however, the exam has been reduced to a few questions and a quick visual check, without the same level of assessment. Finally, I had an experience that left me particularly disappointed. During a visit only 3–4 months after my previous appointment, I was asked to have another set of X-rays. I questioned whether I had just had them done recently, but was told there was no record of it. Later, after my insurance denied the claim because the X-rays had been performed too soon, I confirmed that my memory had been correct. After I contacted the office by email, I was told that I would not be charged. While I appreciate that, no one ever explained how the mistake happened, nor did anyone acknowledge or apologize for exposing me to unnecessary radiation due to the office's record-keeping error. I understand that every practice experiences changes, but what concerns me most is the overall decline in attention to detail, consistency of care, and communication. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, because I genuinely valued this practice for many years and would like to see it return to the standard of care that originally made me choose it.

Ok. I give good and bad reviews depending on service. I am big on Customer Service and have trained, hired staff and fired staff for delivering poor customer service. With that being said, I am afraid of the dentist and when I am told there is a needle and drill involved I hesitate to go, and my experience has been that the staff don't make it any better and I feel the frustration of the Dentist trying to get ne to open my mouth. This time it was an emergency , because my filling feel out. I was told they would see me at 10:00 am. First I was surprised that they had a opening (thinking why - they don't have patients)., Any way I spoke to Dyynasty who was on it and when I arrived she made me feel comfortable and listened to me babble about being nervous and reassure me I was going to be fine. The rest of the staff that took care of me was the same ( they did not have the OMG another one look). Dr. Ellie Halabian, My Dentist (Yes, I am owning her). Let me go on and on about needles and then took control by first putting numbing gel on my gums, and when I saw the needle ( I was panicking) had me doing breathing exercises, which I must say worked. She also talked me through the entire process of what was going to happen, what i was seeing on the ex-rays, and what to expect now and the next appointment. My first good experience with a dentist in 25 years! o I had to give a 5 rating. I am still scared of the dentist, but if I must 34th Street Dental is where I am going.

34th Street Dental is great! From the front desk to the dental hygienist as well as the doctor's. I have been going there for well over a decade.

Booked an appointment specifically with one doctor for an extraction and bone graft after waiting weeks for availability. I did a lot of research beforehand, and since he had no earlier availability, I booked almost 5 weeks ahead for the procedure. Today, after finally arriving at the clinic, I was told by the assistant that he is no longer with the practice. Nobody contacted me in advance to let me know. Instead, another doctor was supposed to perform the procedure, and the clinic manager only mentioned a “family emergency.” For a serious procedure like this, patients deserve transparency and proper communication. Extremely disappointing experience and a complete waste of time and planning.

Used to be a good dental office. I’ve come here for several years. Quality of service declined a lot in recent years, maybe due to PE ownership . Just had the worst experience with front office staff. Will not be going back again.

Waited in the chair for an hour for my root canal to get started, but staff was apologetic and the procedure went well.

I've been coming here for years. The office changed staff many many times. I've never had a billing problem, ever. I've recommended them to my coworkers. Most of them loved it until they almost got scammed. I was soooo embarrassed hearing all their billing issues and inconsistent pricing when I was the one that told them to go there. Smh. I have excellent coverage. I was told I need a big surgery.and my insurance won't cover it. Lies. I called my insurance after I left the office. Both procedures are covered 60-80%. I called back. They said the billing person was out for 2 days. They called me the next day and said im not covered. They wouldnt tell me who they spoke to at my insurance company. Of course, because they didn't even call them! My insurance rep didn't even see any claims from that office. Something fishy is going on. I found a new dental specialist and my procedures ARE covered. If you do not have insurance, this is the place for you. They want out of pocket money real bad. No claims. No insurance. Do your research before you proceed. Used to love this place. Very disappointed.
