About 3rd floorPinnacle Endodontics, Periodontics, and Implants

Based on Metrowest Boulevard in the Southwest Orlando area of Orlando, Florida, 3rd floorPinnacle Endodontics, Periodontics, and Implants is a dental practice serving the area. Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.

Gum disease treatment ranges from a deeper professional cleaning for early inflammation through to more involved periodontal care once bone around the teeth has started to be affected. Bleeding gums are usually the earliest sign, and the early stage is reversible with proper cleaning and better daily plaque control.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost. What are the early signs of gum disease?
Gums that bleed when brushing or flossing, redness and puffiness along the gumline, and persistent bad breath are the usual first indicators. Bleeding is the one most often dismissed, and it is the clearest early warning.
Is gum disease reversible?
The early stage, gingivitis, is reversible with thorough cleaning and better daily plaque control. Once it has progressed to periodontitis and bone around the teeth has been lost, that bone does not grow back — treatment then aims to halt further loss.
What happens if I do not get a root canal?
The infection inside the tooth does not resolve by itself. It typically progresses to an abscess and can spread into surrounding bone, and the tooth is far more likely to be lost. Extraction becomes the alternative once the tooth cannot be saved.

Dr. Rodriguez and her assistant Chris were absolutely incredible! From the moment I walked in, they made me feel like I was hanging out with family or good neighbors I’ve known for years. Dr. Rodriguez was very honest, detailed, and took the time to explain all of my options so I felt comfortable and informed. I also loved that she joked around and made the whole experience feel less stressful. Chris was just as kind and welcoming. I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for great care!

I don’t write reviews. Ever. But Dr. Dowling deserves one that borders on legendary. I walked into his office convinced I was about to experience something straight out of a horror film. My anxiety was through the roof — full survival mode. What I thought would be a near-death experience turned into one of the most unexpectedly calm, controlled, and seamless medical experiences of my life. Dr. Dowling is not a doctor — he is a master of his craft. The level of precision, confidence, and composure he brings into the room is unreal. You feel it immediately. He doesn’t rush. He doesn’t guess. He knows. And that kind of skill changes everything. Somehow, he took something I feared for weeks and turned it into… nothing. No chaos. No trauma. No regret. Just professionalism at the highest level. I left that chair feeling empowered instead of terrified. That’s rare. That’s special. That’s someone who truly understands both the science and the human behind it. If you’re scared — I was worse. And now? I’d trust him with anything. Absolute excellence.

Pinnacle Endodontics, Periodontics, and Implants absolutely deserves 5 stars. I was referred here for a gum procedure, and I was honestly pretty nervous going in. From the moment I arrived, the front office staff was warm, professional, and efficient with check-in and paperwork, which helped calm my nerves right away. The clinical team and doctor were fantastic. They took the time to explain what was going on with my gums, what they were going to do, and what I should expect during and after the procedure. They checked on me often, made sure I was comfortable, and truly made the whole process as gentle as possible. I never felt rushed or like “just another patient.” The office is very clean and modern, and you can tell they use up-to-date technology and take pride in their work. After the procedure, they gave clear aftercare instructions, and my recovery went smoothly. I also really appreciated the follow-up and how genuinely they seemed to care about how I was feeling afterward. If you need specialized care for your gums or other periodontal/endodontic work, I highly recommend Pinnacle. They combine skill, compassion, and great communication — you’ll be well taken care of here.
