About 4th Avenue Family Dentistry
4th Avenue Family Dentistry runs a general-dentistry practice set up for the everyday work most patients actually need in the Cherry Creek area of Denver. The clinic is built around the day-to-day work — not boutique marketing — and serves adults and kids in one familiar place. The shape of the practice fits patients who want a clear conversation about what's actually needed, with treatment staged around real priorities rather than a one-shot proposal on the first visit. If you're scoping a Cherry Creek dental option, this is a sensible practice to put on a short list of candidates and book a first visit with.
Service coverage spans the standard general-dentistry breadth: routine cleanings and exams, tooth-colored fillings, crowns and bridges, root canal treatment, basic extractions, and gum-disease management. The practice also handles after-hours emergency dental visits for cracked teeth or sudden pain when patients need them, alongside the routine preventive work. Restorations lean conservative — composite material rather than amalgam — and most needs are kept in-house, with specialty referrals reserved for cases that genuinely call for them rather than offered up front.
If you've recently moved into the area and want a no-drama dental home for the whole family, this is the kind of practice where booking a first cleaning is a reasonable opening move.
Cost positioning sits in the typical Denver general-dentistry range, with most major insurance plans accepted and clear pretreatment estimates before restorative work begins. Patients searching for general dentistry in Denver, CO, long-time family dentist in Denver, CO, or dentist accepting new patients in Denver, CO commonly land at neighborhood practices like this one — generalists rather than narrow specialty offices. It suits families wanting consistency over many years, patients who value predictable scheduling, and anyone who'd rather have one trusted dentist see the same teeth across decades than rotate through a corporate group practice. The Cherry Creek location works for patients already running errands in this part of Denver, and parking and transit access tend to be straightforward for the surrounding blocks.
4th Avenue Family Dentistry on University Boulevard in Cherry Creek runs a general-dentistry practice covering cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canals, and basic emergency care for adults and kids for Denver families.

I frCannot say enough about this practice, but I will give it a go. I first came to know about this practice through one of my clients, who happened to work there as a dental assistant. I asked about getting a crown to complete an implant that had been started almost 40 months ago. Unfortunately, I had to put the procedure on hold after I shattered the original crown because of the cost. The U.S. Army and VA do not provide dental coverage as a standard benefit. That is a sad thing, but that is a story for another day. I decided to make an appointment and see if they could help me. Dr. Whitestone and his team did much more than just help me. I have never tried to ask for anything because I served my country. I joined and served for my own personal reasons, and I would not change it for anything. I carry that service proudly. At the same time, I am incredibly appreciative of anyone who goes out of their way to help veterans and retirees. With that said, I could not believe what I was hearing when Dr. Whitestone told me he was going to complete my crown at no cost to me. Today, Dr. Whitestone finished placing my new dental crown, and I walked out of that office with something I had not had in almost three years: my smile back. Not many things bring tears to my eyes, but for the last couple of years I have been embarrassed to smile. When I talked to people, I would turn my head or smile at an angle so they could not see inside my mouth. I felt embarrassed every time I did it. There is nothing quite like missing a front tooth. As a side note, if you ever happen to be around someone with a missing front tooth, please don't stare. You may not realize it, but it really can be painful and embarrassing for the person experiencing it. This practice absolutely shines from the moment you walk through the door until the moment you walk back out. All of the ladies at the reception desk are warm, welcoming, and professional at all times. I always feel comfortable while I am there, and that says a lot coming from a disabled veteran who generally avoids going out in public. And the experience only gets better from there. I have not had the distinct pleasure of meeting every member of the staff, but everyone I have met has been wonderful. Dr. Whitestone was incredibly kind, professional, and generous, and I will never forget what he did for me. This practice is the complete master checklist of everything you could possibly want from a dental practice. I cannot recommend 4th Avenue Family Dentistry highly enough. If you are looking for a dental practice where you will be treated with professionalism, compassion, and genuine kindness, this is the place. Shout Out to Erica and all the Lady's and I can't say Thank you enough to Dr Whitestone and the entire staff.
I always have a pleasant time when I have had appointments there. I'll start by saying one of the most important things when going to Dentist or Doctor office is first impressions, and that starts at the front desk. The lady's that work at the front are a absolute treat to be around and have help you. Always very professional and welcoming. And from there the mood doesn't change.⁰
We loved this place when Dr. Brandymoore was there, but the practice went corporate and you can tell. Aside from losing their BEST dentist (he quit because he didn’t agree with their new business model, I suspect), they now text and call me almost daily to try to schedule some kind of appointment. It’s obviously a new “business plan.” Sell, sell, sell. All that is one thing, but today I had a very deceiving call. They left a message for me to call them about my account. I was baffled as I know I don’t have any kind of balance. But they counted on that and when I called they told me my “account” said I’m overdue for a cleaning. That’s a new level of lowness and desperation. Find another dentist, and look for Dr. Brandymoore when he sets up his new practice.
I have been going to Dr Whitestone for over seven years. I have been the worst patient with several emergencies and they have taken such good care of me -better than I deserve. He is so smart and so caring. I am very grateful for all he’s done and how quickly they’ve gotten in when I have an issue I highly highly recommend them.
I love your service Erica is a healer and super personal kind hygienist . I had a wonderful experience with her and I also loved Kelly as well . You have outstanding, kind and caring staff! And im bringing my mother here now Thank you, thank you.
I had nearly the same experience as one of the other posters. After regularly attending appointments at the office for years, I had to cancel a cleaning last minute to attend a family funeral. When I tried to reschedule, they offered me a time that was available 6 months in advance. Similar to some school and work policies, I actually offered to show proof of funeral attendance, my own direct connection to the family member, length of travel involved and when funeral was announced (ie, I actually bothered to call to cancel- as a courtesy- within the 24 hour turnaround I had to attend the funeral). It just seemed so bizarre that instead of offering compassion and grace they were harsh and accusatory. I then spoke w Dr. Chad with tears in my eyes bc the whole thing- funeral included- was raw and sensitive. I did this in-person when I had to return for another appointment for a different matter. He said he would handle it and to call the desk again after a day or two. I did this, and they offered me a routine cleaning time 8 months out (not 6) citing that I had waited too long to lock in the time they initially offered me. I have 3-4 friends in cherry creek area who left the practice for the same reasons.
I’ve had such a great experience with Dr. Braun and his team over the years. The care is always excellent, and the entire staff is kind, professional, and welcoming. Elizabeth has been especially wonderful, she is always so thorough and thoughtful during cleanings, which I really appreciate. I also recently had a billing situation, and Dr. Braun went above and beyond to help resolve it in a fair and thoughtful way. That level of care and integrity really meant a lot to me. Highly recommend this office!
I have been coming to see Dr. Braun for over 10 years while he is a great dentist that office is an absolute disaster when it comes to billing. I literally got an out-of-pocket bill for $230. Because they said I was out of network I even checked before my appointment to see if it would be covered and was told I would be fine. Come to find out it was not fully covered and now I have to pay out-of-pocket. I have one of the best dental plans. When I asked to speak to an office manager that was refused. No resolution. This is no way to treat a patient you had for over a decade.
My visits to 4th Ave Dentist have always been handled with courtesy and professionalism. I used to dread dental appointments, but today’s technology makes the experience far more comfortable, and the team does a great job explaining your options as they go. I would definitely recommend 4th Ave for your dental needs.
I have been coming here since before Doctors Whitestone and Braun took over the practice. They are both really great guys with excellent skills. Normally I woul.d give 5 stars but my visit yesterday for a cleaning was not good. The worst in all the years I have been coming here. The hygienist was borderline rude and I sensed she did not want to deal with me. She gave me a lecture on having my periodontist send over my xrays even though I explained "today is Mon. the xrays were just done on the previous Thurs". She persisted in telling me how all dental offices were laxed in sending xrays (my xrays were actually being d/l as we spoke). During the cleaning process I began to choke badly because she didn't suction properly and she just stood there without offering any assistance and just asking "You ok?". All of the other hygienists in over 25 years were very pleasant and efficient. Not this one. As I left she looked at me like I was some kind of alien being. Hope I don't get her next time.
Have been coming to this same dentistry for 10 years. Unfortunately, billing and insurance handling has become extremely frustrating. Appointment wait times have more than doubled, and it is nearly impossible to schedule a visit sooner than six months out. It’s become into a fast food service, in and out quickly with no good customer service. Even when an appointment is scheduled, providers are often running late or unexpectedly unavailable. Very disappointed when this wasn’t the case years ago.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve had an exceptional experience with Dr. Chad A. Braun, DDS at Fourth Avenue Family Dentistry. Dr. Braun has taken outstanding care of an implant I needed and has consistently provided excellent general dentistry as well. His attention to detail, skill level, and genuine concern for his patients truly stand out. I trust his work completely and recommend him without reservation. Grateful to have found such a talented and dedicated dentist. — 390 University Boulevard, Denver, CO 80206
