They never answer the phone or call you back. it took me 6 months to get an appointment and when i finally went, i had a "substitute" dentist who had never worked there before and had no clue how anything worked. So i unfortunately was not able to even get done what i needed done. i used to love this dental office a few years ago. they were extremely quick to get me in, I'd even had same day appointments, but now its a minimum 3 month wait no matter the issue and that's if you can even get ahold of anyone. it seems that over the past couple years things have gone down hill there very quickly.
No communication. Scheduled 2 appointments that they never made me aware of. Secretary was very unfriendly. Very uncaring about my situation
Poor customer service. Made a friend of mine wait an hour with an appointment. It's very hard to get a appointment in general, just to get there to receive poor treatment. Told her she was initially supposed to get a consultation and tooth filling. Numbed her mouth just to tell my friend she couldn't get the filling because the didn't have enough time to complete it. Spoke to someone name Janneth and told me if she is unhappy with the service she could go someone else. Just unprofessional.
This one star rating is for both the front office side, as well as the care side of Access, Carroll. The front office staff are exceptionally dismissive, and terse in nature. When I first became a patient a year ago, I was harassed both on the phone and in person to bring in additional documentation with the acceptable examples given by office staff to be bank statements or utility bills to further confirm my address. I contacted the State of Maryland and the State of Maryland unequivocally told me not to comply with that additional request, and that my valid state issued drivers license was proof enough of my residence. Things are no better on the care side. I've yet to actually see a doctor. I see only a nurse practitioner. What really prompted this One star review to be written is when I began reviewing the care notes left by the nurse practitioner, which at times has completely miss quoted my stated symptoms. One case stated that I did not comply with care, in spite of being nothing but compliant with both care and medication. So much so that I made daily charts of vitals and glucometer readings to provide to the practitioner during my visits. This practitioner was often very disorganized in her thoughts, could not stay on topic during conversations with me concerning my care, and at times try to direct my response or statement, basically attempting to control the conversation to get me to say what she wanted to hear or dictate in her summary of my care. In the 10 months and five or six appointments I've had at this office. My initial reason for visit, my initial complaint, the entire reason I went to a doctors office to see a doctor, which I have not seen yet remains unaddressed or undiagnosed in its entirety. This medical practice had no issue identifying through lab testing the fact that I have high cholesterol, borderline diabetes, and borderline hypertension. I was then placed on a litany of medications which have done nothing to improve my overall condition, or correct and or diagnose the original complaint that drove me to the doctors office ten months ago.
This is absolutely the worst dental office I have ever dealt with. It took me almost 3 years to get an appointment to start the dental work that I need. Then they called me the day of the appointment and cancelled it. That was almost 3 weeks ago and I still can't get anyone on the phone to reschedule me. I am at my wits end with this place. It seems to me that they don't care about the patients at all.
