About Access Dental of E 7th

Access Dental of E 7th is a full-service general and specialty practice on East 7th Street in the Holly neighborhood of east Austin, led by Dr. Tien Phan and a team that includes pediatric and restorative care under one roof. The clinic covers routine dental work — exams, X-rays, cleanings, fillings, and sealants — alongside the larger restorative and cosmetic projects most patients return for over time. Extended hours and an open-door policy mean the front-desk team is set up for walk-ins and same-day urgent visits as well as scheduled appointments.

For restorative work the practice offers dental implants — titanium posts placed into your jaw bone supporting custom crowns — along with bridges, dentures, and root canal therapy when a tooth needs to be saved instead of pulled. On the cosmetic side, you can have porcelain veneers bonded to the front of teeth to change shape, color, or alignment, plus Philips Zoom teeth whitening for in-office brightening. Invisalign clear aligners are available for adults and teens who want to straighten without traditional brackets. The pediatric track handles your child's first dental visits, sealants, and routine care; periodontal treatment for gum disease and tooth extractions are also done in-office rather than referred out.

If you want one east-Austin practice that handles your routine cleanings, your kids' visits, and the occasional implant or Invisalign treatment plan in the same place, this fits.

Cost-wise, the clinic sits in the affordable-to-mid range for east Austin and accepts a wide range of insurance — PPO, DPO, Medicaid, and Medicare — with financing and discount-plan options for out-of-pocket work. Free consultations are offered before larger treatment plans. Searches that bring patients here include affordable dentist near East 7th Austin, dental implants in east Austin, Invisalign clear aligners in 78702, and emergency dentist with same-day appointments. The practice suits patients who value accessibility, flexible scheduling, and having a single home for the family's full range of dental needs.

An East 7th Street practice in Holly led by Dr. Tien Phan, offering general, cosmetic, and orthodontic dentistry — implants, Invisalign, veneers, pediatric care — with extended hours and flexible payment options.

SCAM - Terrible Quality Crown and Zero Accountability We waited for over two hours for an appointment that lasted barely ten minutes. The crown they placed on my mother started to come loose after just a few months, and when we went back to complain, they told us it was the fault of her eating habits. In our personal opinion, the quality of the material used was clearly inferior, designed so that the patient has to keep coming back over and over again. They never took any responsibility for the poor workmanship. I recommend looking for another clinic that actually cares about the patient's health.

During the consultation visit they promise high-quality dental materials and competitive pricing. What my brother received, in my assessment, was neither. His partials looked off-color from day one, and when we returned to address it, the dentist lectured us about his "coffee habit" as though that justified the immediate discoloration. We were never warned about lifestyle impacts before the procedure. This felt less like medical advice and more like a prepared excuse. I believe this clinic is set up to make patients feel at fault for what are fundamentally quality issues.

I made an appointment since they were convenient with weekend appointments and showed up on time, they called me back a few minutes later. X-rays were taken then the Dentist came in to speak with me to address my issues and she was very thorough. I was asked to wait to speak about a bridge but on the bottom but I was more concerned about a top bridge to help cover a gap an extraction would have caused. I waited additional time and the Financial person came in to tell me about only the extraction and I asked about the bridge. We all know employer plans generally only cover up to $2000 and she proceeded to tell me “your insurance was eaten up very quick and it would have to be out of pocket” — which was obviously expected as dental work is not cheap. I told her that I needed to reschedule because I only planned 2 hours for a dental visit today and we were already 10 minutes shy of 2 hours (way too long for a doctors visit without having any work done). No one wanted to hear my concerns about the timing of everything and the staff kept cutting me off refusing to hear my concerns or even apologize for timing. The financial person did not explain anything else of the treatment plan which had been developed or anything until I asked for a copy. I had to yet reschedule for ANOTHER visit. I should have read the other reviews before selecting this office for the poor service level that I experienced.

Terrible service. They give you an appointment, but when you arrive they say you don't have one. Awful service, I don't recommend it.

Man this place is trash. Do not go here. They will tell you they have a special you pay for it then, the dr comes in looks at your mouth doesn’t talk to you as the patient only talks to the assistant. Leaves the room. No said anything still waiting oh and the whole time I’m waiting they are having a party. The dr has really Bad bedside manners. Worst service ever. Why is this place still even open. Then the front desk Valencia is wack and will degrade a patient. How does this place even have her as a front desk? Again this place is the worst.

Writing this review months later because I’m still so happy with the results and will be back soon for a cleaning. The dentist and her assistant were absolutely wonderful- cleaned up all the plaque under my permanent retainer and got a filling. Was totally quick and painless, she did such an amazing job! My favorite thing about this place is their transparency, they don’t try to use scare tactics to make you pay for unnecessary procedures. Last dentist I went to told me I needed a root canal…I did not need a root canal. Always get a second opinion! Finding this place was like finding an honest mechanic. Thank you so much, Access Dental!

THE WORST dental office, it seems like the front ladies, the assistants and the dentists don’t even work together! No communication between them AT ALL, Dr.Loya constantly rushes his work and does horrible fillings that fall out within 3-4 months and then pushes off the appointment to get them re done by saying “I don’t have time for that bring her back” time after time, until the 6 month time line passes and now they want me to pay the price for new fillings, CRAZY. Ive been coming to this office for over 10 years but this place is falling off horribly. If you choose to continue going here, I recommend asking for the lady dentist, I believe her name is Dr.Tran, she did great on my fillings and actually took her time.

They will have you sitting in the waiting room for an hour and a half even though they bothers you and blew up your phone to get you to waste your time and come down. DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE. I got here at 10:37 am for an 11:00 appointment. When I got here they couldn’t find my information even though they said they had it red flag number one I had to keep going up and bothering them to see what was going on with my appointment and they had Peopel that came after me going ahead of me red flag number two the third and final flag was me seeing after an hour of waiting what was going on and them telling me they needed 30 more minute because they were waiting on a room because they let the people go ahead of me. If you have a whole day to waste then by all means come to this run down hole in the wall unprofessional place but if not avoid this place by any means necessary!!!!!!

Do NOT come here u less you have half a day to spent. Regardless of appt time you’ll be waiting an hour plus. They absolutely do not value customers time and book numerous appointments at the same time knowing they’ll only have 1 dentist available. Attempted to go twice but had to cancel both times after waiting too long. There are numerous other dentist places in the area, would highly recommended ANY other.

I had an amazing experience at Access Dental, and I have to give a special shoutout to Jaunita for her outstanding customer service! From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel completely at ease. She was incredibly professional, patient, and went above and beyond to answer all my questions. Jaunita took the time to explain everything clearly, ensuring I felt comfortable throughout my visit. Her friendly and caring attitude made my experience so much better, and I truly appreciate her dedication to excellent service. If you’re looking for a dental office with a welcoming atmosphere and top-notch care, I highly recommend Access Dental—and be sure to ask for jaunita! She’s the best!

Lack of communication and lack of proper care. I told to the front desk I am deaf I couldn't hear my name when called. Interpreter needed. Free interpreter that they could have gotten. Long wait. I got mad I was frustrated and I was not patient. How awful. I really wanted to stay nice. I had drive a senior tranportation waiting one hour limit but I can ask for more time. I didn't know the doctor's name but she did cleaned my teeth very good. I think now I get tired of dentists, and doctors too.
