About Access Dental of Ed Bluestein

Access Dental of Rundberg is a multi-service general and specialty practice on East Rundberg Lane in north Austin, part of the Access Dental network, set up to handle the full range of dental needs for individuals and families in one location. The clinic runs routine exams, cleanings, fillings, and sealants alongside the larger restorative and cosmetic work patients gradually add over years of dental visits. The front desk operates with extended hours and an open-door approach so that walk-in concerns and scheduled visits can both fit into the day.

The restorative side covers dental implants, dental crowns, bridges, dentures, and root canal therapy — the structural work that comes up when a tooth needs reinforcement or replacement. Cosmetic services include porcelain veneers, professional teeth whitening, and Invisalign clear aligners for adults and teens who want to straighten teeth without traditional braces. The practice also handles tooth extractions and periodontal disease treatment in-house, plus pediatric dentistry for the family's youngest patients — exams, sealants, and the early visits that set the tone for kids' relationships with the dental chair.

If you want a single Rundberg-area practice for the family's routine cleanings and the occasional bigger treatment plan, this is set up for that.

Cost-wise, the clinic sits in the affordable-to-mid range for north Austin and accepts a wide range of insurance — PPO, DPO, Medicaid, and Medicare — with financing and in-house discount-plan options for out-of-pocket work. Free initial consultations are offered before larger treatment plans, so you can see the cost before committing. Searches that bring patients here include affordable dentist near Rundberg Austin, dental implants in north Austin 78753, Invisalign clear aligners and orthodontics, and pediatric dentist for kids in north Austin. The practice suits patients who want flexible scheduling, payment options that fit a household budget, and a clinic that handles general and specialty work in the same building.

This is a fraud dental office. Do not go here as we have had really horrible experiences with them such as over-charging and multiple billing for the same procedure. Subsequently, they call us every 6 months and apparently even sent a bill to our insurance despite the fact that I explicitly canceled all future appointments with them repeatedly.

Unfortunately, I can't give this place more than a couple of stars, mainly due to poor customer service. First, I had an appointment scheduled, and despite confirming it twice via call and message, I arrived to find the office closed. No one contacted me to cancel or reschedule, even though I was explicitly told that my appointment was booked and that I must show up. I set aside time for this visit, yet they didn’t bother to notify me that they wouldn’t be open. Second, they tried to upsell me on a treatment I had already received and didn’t need. I ended up going elsewhere and getting a regular cleaning, something that wasn't even presented as an option at Access Dental, where they insisted on a deep cleaning. To make matters worse, when I requested my X-rays, I was told I had to come in person to sign a release form. I did—but the X-rays were never sent. Not that day, not the next, not even a week later, despite me calling twice to follow up. And then, to top it all off, my insurance sent me a bill showing I was charged for a panoramic X-ray that was never even taken. This place is clearly trying to take advantage of patients. Such a disappointing experience.

You make an appointment and they tell you don’t miss it, and cancel ahead of time that’s fine but my grandmother has been making appointments with them for two months and they make the appointment and cancel it the day of the appointment!!!!! Saying the person they made the appointment with is out of the country ??? So WHY ARE YOU MAKING THE APPOINTMENT AND WHY CANT THEY SEE SOMEONE ELSE????? So unprofessional and clearly unorganized

Pushy scheduling and billing staff and dirty office

First of all, this place is filthy gross. Second, I came for general exam and still waiting in the dental chair to be seen an hour and twenty minutes after my appointment time. The big kicker is the dentist has been unprofessionally scolding a staff member in the waiting lobby for half an hour. Finally, the television volume is excessively loud and echoes throughout the building. This has Not been the type of dental experience I would recommend. Definitely not an atmosphere to put one at ease.

I never thought I would be put in a position to write them a review, but after my last 2 visit, I had enough! I would go in for a cleaning and end up with treatments. In December, I went for a regular clean, which I never got and came out with a root canal and a crown. I got a call from the office saying that I needed my 6 months clean so I scheduled it and went in after some x-ray the Dr said I need 7 root canals and 7 crowns and I had 1 tooth infected and that they couldn't do a cleaning because i needed a deep cleaning. When I started asking questions, the assistant got an attitude and was very rude and couldn't even answer my questions or look at me. I was so irritated! How can my teeth go that bad from December to August? So I decided to go get a 2nd opinion and ended up only needing 2 crowns and 3 fillings and no deep cleaning, just the regular clean.. I have been going there for years now. I'm wondering how much unnecessary work they did on my teeth!! I don't recommend it at all!!! Oh, and never got my cleaning!!

The worst place to bring your kid. The dentist, Dr Tien, was highly unprofessional and unwilling to talk. She came in, brushed the teeth of my two-year-old, and said we were done. She didn't bother to explain anything. I got the feeling she just wanted to get her share of insurance, and that's it.
