About Advanced Dental Care of Tampa

Advanced Dental Care of Tampa provides dental care on West Hillsborough Avenue in the Drew Park area of Tampa, Florida. Affordable care means the practice sets out to make treatment accessible on a self-pay basis or through a payment arrangement, rather than assuming every patient arrives with comprehensive insurance. It is worth asking directly what options exist before assuming a needed treatment is out of reach.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts. Can I pay for dental work in instalments?
Some practices offer in-house payment arrangements and others work with third-party finance providers. Availability varies, so it is a fair question to ask when you first make contact rather than at the point of treatment.
Is it cheaper to treat a cavity early?
Almost always. A small cavity treated with a filling is a far smaller undertaking than the same tooth once decay has reached the nerve and needs root canal treatment and a crown. Cost tends to rise sharply the longer a problem is left.
How can I look after my teeth between appointments?
Brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and cleaning between the teeth daily covers most of it. Limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount consumed.

Extremely disappointed with this dental office. I had a root canal and crown done here, and only a year and a half later the tooth fractured and had to be extracted. After experiencing pain when biting, I sought a second opinion. During the extraction, the new dentist showed me what was underneath the crown and raised serious concerns about the quality of the previous work. I was shocked to learn that the tooth could not be saved. As a result, I lost the tooth and was forced to go through an extraction, bone graft, and implant treatment, costing me thousands of dollars and causing significant pain, stress, and inconvenience. I trusted this office to provide long-lasting treatment, but instead I ended up losing the tooth in a very short period of time. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this clinic and strongly encourage anyone considering major dental work to seek a second opinion.

I informed the person who made my appointment that I had new insurance told her I would bring in the card when I came for the appointment. Then I had to pay at the appointment because they need 24 hours to process. They let me know I am getting a refund that refund was not for the correct amount. I called the insurance company & they called the practice. I did not make another appointment because I was so annoyed. I really like the dentist & the hygienist but the billing & customer service is is awful!

I appreciate that the cleanings are fast and the employees are nice. But I feel like the hygienist is not methodical, she presses really hard and in almost random movements to make sure she's fast. When she flossed my teeth, she didn't go deep and only flossed about 4 teeth. It would've been nice if she had told me how my teeth looked. When I asked her she said I had plaque in the back of my teeth. I will probably come back since it's close to my house.

Rossane Balsa is an outstanding hygienist. From the moment I walked in, her professionalism and attention to detail were clear. She didn’t just perform the cleaning — she took the time to educate me on my dental health, explaining everything in a way that actually made sense and could be applied daily. What really stood out to me was how much she cares about long-term results, not just the appointment itself. I’ve already started to see noticeable improvement in my teeth, which speaks volumes about the quality of her work and guidance. If you’re looking for someone who is thorough, knowledgeable, and truly invested in your dental health, I highly recommend Rossane.

My daughter recommended me to her dentist, Dr. Breton, and 100% satisfied I did. He is an amazing dentist, the office ladies are professional, kind and polite. The office manager is an amazing individual that has shown me kindness and compassion helping me navigate my way home. Thank you all for the wonderful service and kindness you all have shown me. I would definitely recommend Dr. Breton and his staff at the Advanced Dental Care of Tampa.
