Advanced Oral Surgery of Tampa

Everyone here is very nice and friendly. I had no issues with the consultation and everything went smooth. At the time of my consultation, I did not have dental insurance, so when I saw the price of what my wisdom teeth extractions would cost without insurance, I bought insurance that very same week in September 2026. As soon as I received my insurance information a few days later, I called the office to inform them of my new insurance and scheduled my extraction appointment for the end of October 2026. They informed me that they would send me an updated treatment plan with an updated estimate so I would know my out-of-pocket costs for this procedure with the insurance plan. I did that SIX times. SIX separate occasions for a month leading up to the extraction appointment. Each time I was PROMISED they would send me the updated treatment plan with the price estimate right away but they never did. My last attempt at reaching out to them was 3 days before my surgery, and they once again PROMISED they would get it to me that same day but never did. No phone call, email, nothing. In that last call, I was asked to provide my $200 deposit. Why would I put down a deposit on a procedure that I don't know the cost of? Ultimately, I cancelled my procedure because I was tired of being ignored. I'm certain the oral surgeons here are experts and are great at what they do, hence the high reviews, but the administrative team completely dropped the ball for this procedure that I really needed. I gave them SO many chances and I hate to leave a negative review but I am literally being ignored and not taken seriously. It's totally unfair that I paid $280 for a consultation just to be completely ignored and not have my very simple request of wanting to know the updated price of an expensive treatment being fulfilled. I hope that this review will make the practice understand where they went wrong so they don't repeat this mistake again and take patients like me in the future seriously.

My dentist referred last min on a Thursday before my cruise and they were luckily able to squeeze me in the following day for an emergency extraction. The front desk staff is very pleasant and went above and beyond to follow up and work me through the process. The assistants were very knowledgeable and the surgeon Dr. Gaus took his time to thoroughly give me a lesson on my circumstances, projected outcome and shared his personal experiences to provide perspective. My previous experience at another dentist concerned me about how this one would turn out, but it went well beyond my expectations. I truly recommend this office if you want professionalism, education on your situation, a highly skilled team for a speedy recovery and overall great service, choose Advanced Oral. Oh and I can’t leave out that I love the modern aesthetics!

Best oral surgery and surgeon ever! I’ve had 3 teeth taken out here and my experiences have been the best. They make me not afraid of dentistry and everyone is very nice and understanding. No one forces anything upon you, and if you are scared they do a great job of making sure you’re okay. Love this place and the surgeon is the sweetest! Thank you guys🙏❤️

For someone who has had too many traumatic experiences from childhood to adulthood, I'd like to extend this heartfilled expression of appreciation.
