Advanced Smile Care has always been wonderfully thorough, very friendly, and has excellent dental technology!

I always have an extremely plesant experience when I go there. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable about their individual positions. I feel so comfortable there.

I have been coming here for years. Today I had a dental emergency, I called and they were able to get me in today. I was so relieved to be able to see Dr Thomas and staff.

Unfortunately I have been their client for more than 5 years and this last time was horrible. I was told that my cavity under my bridge, work they did, was not salvageable due to the tooth being so bad. I was told I have several more cavities and needed to pull 3 teeth and needed to consider a partial or implants. The dentist told me that her husband was a root canal specialist and she showed him the X-ray and there was nothing that could be saved. I panicked and left the office because I couldn’t believe what they were telling me. I went and had a second opinion and was told that my tooth could be saved and there was no reason to pull my good teeth. The new dentist sent my x-rays to two root canal specialist and I was able to save my tooth and all the other teeth, which by the way were good teeth according to the specialist. The dentist and specialist reassured me that there was no reason to pull teeth. A good dentist wants to save your teeth. The root canal specialist fixed my bridge that was poorly done and did an amazing root canal. I am so glad that I got a second opinion but the simple fact that these people are just in it for money is so disappointing. When they were owned by Dr. Kboudi they were honest and good but the new ownership are liars and are money hungry. I will never return and I will make sure that everyone knows how deceitful these people are! So glad I got a second opinion!

This is a great dental office! My Dentist Dr S,Gonzalez well she’s a real gem! Very good at her job. Painless Dr that really does all she can so your comfortable,pain free, caring, explained it all. And she’s very skilled. That practice was lucky to get her! And she’s patient with scared, and prior damaged patients that sit in her chair. She’s brought back my self esteem and hope for the ability to eat steak whenever I want again! Thank you !

Would never return to this location or recommend it to anyone after the way that I was treated here. Want to preface the review by saying that my frustration lies with the front office and billing/insurance department, not with the dentist herself. When I came in for an initial visit, I was told that my insurance was in network. I gave very detailed information about the plan type and I have a voicemail from the front desk associate agreeing and confirming that my plan was in network. After the treatment was administered, I then found out my plan was out of network AND I had been charged an additional fee for not utilizing an in network insurance. My total cost for 2 fillings & crowns was over $3,000 outside of what my insurance covered. Their prices are extremely inflated in comparison to other dental offices, and I've had to get some of the work redone within two weeks at a different practice when the filling failed. I am highly disappointed by my experience and the way I was treated by this clinic. Additionally, the office manager thought it was appropriate to let me know that the reason I have so many root canals is because I didn't address the issues while they were cavities. I repeated to her multiple times that I have an autoimmune illness that has an impact on my flora and the structural integrity of my teeth. It felt like she was chastising me for something far outside of my control, which was out of place; especially given she was not a dentist or medical professional. Once the office gets ahold of your number, they continue to call and text excessively for repeat cleanings and other procedures. I understand that clinics need to make money to operate, but this truly felt like more of a business transaction than concern for the health of my teeth and experience as a patient.

Always punctual, friendly and efficient care. My teeth have benefited from the expertise ar Advanced Smile Care. Everyone from front desk, hygienist (Patricia is responsible for making me become a good self care person), Dr. Benjamin and Dr. Thomas seem to actually care!!

My first visit and took care of a tooth fracture on the spot. Two hours later and I left with a new crown. Simply the best, most enjoyable experience I have had at a dental office. The front office team, Dr Thomas, Madison and Fran were consummate pro’s at their craft. They receive 5 stars for offering fantastic services and a friendly environment! Thank you!

Our winter home is in The Big Bend Area , We were coming to San Antonio for another health related appointment for my wife . Dear Wife, as long as we're here for a couple of days, why don't we find a DDS and maybe one that does general anesthesia.🤔 As one fellow said, "I'm not afraid of dying I just don't want to be there, when it happens" That's my wife's outlook in regards to having dentistry, she is of Teutonic heredity, she may have more nerve endings than the rest of the general population🤷‍♂️ So it's not that she wants to be, put under she needs,... to be put under,... otherwise all the Novacaine in the world will not have her teeth desensitized. We have wonderful dentist In at our other Home in The Smoky Mountains, yet they are not set up with general anesthesia. So what a happy result to find someone here in San Antonio a mere six hours away from The Big Bend Location,... So far the team seems professional and the great news is they are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield We had an appointment the next day came in had all the necessary preliminary x-rays As the doctor is developing treatment plan,... He's a very good communicator, My wife having been a nurse knows how important that is.

Most advanced dental care I’ve ever experienced. Very thorough, and they clearly care about your long term health. Super affordable for what you get! Very kid friendly too!

I absolutely love the care and attention I receive from every member of the staff here. Doctor Gonzalez is an amazing person, and is highly invested in my dental health. Karla K, the admin is so personable and is an amazing help to me. Betsy, the receptionist is the most kind and loving person (and she hooks is up with very good cookies). I highly recommend this practice! 20 out of 10!!
