About Adventure Dental

Adventure Dental is a dental practice on Brentwood Road Northeast in the Northeast Washington area of Washington, District of Columbia. General dentistry covers the routine and restorative care most people need most often — examinations, cleanings, fillings, and preventive checks that catch problems while they are still small and inexpensive to treat. Regular attendance, roughly every six months for most patients, is what makes that early-catch approach actually work.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent. I had such a wonderful experience with Mhret at the front desk! She was incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process. She was able to schedule an appointment for my daughter very quickly, and from the moment I spoke with her, I felt so much more relieved. Mhret took the time to answer my questions with kindness and made the whole experience stress-free. Her warm and caring attitude truly stood out, and she is a fantastic first impression of Adventure Dental and Vision. Customer service like hers is rare, and it made a big difference. Thank you, Mhret, for your outstanding care and professionalism!

Service was kind, quick, and effective. My 14yo son had to get two cavities filled in a very sensitive area (front teeth). The staff really catered to him, to get it done with less discomfort as possible, and they achieved that. I love the Brentwood location, we are always well taken care of!!

We want to thank Dr. Ali and DA. Lenis for the exceptional care shown to our daughter Maya who has always had phobias of the dentist office. The extra time and patience they showed to calm her down and keep her reassured was above and beyond the scope of their work and we are eternally grateful and we wish them both the best in the New Year! Nichols Family,

Where do I begin? The front office staff is truly outstanding. Ms. Rae assisted my granddaughter and me with our vision needs; she was very knowledgeable, patiently explaining each step to my granddaughter and addressing all our questions. Her excellent interpersonal skills made us feel comfortable and valued. The warmth and professionalism of the staff left a lasting positive impression, making the entire experience smooth and reassuring. I am grateful to have been greeted by such a caring and competent team.

I took my grandson for his visit today as soon as you hit the door you are greeted with a smile and it was down to business. They was professional, organized and on time. The staff was ready to help and direct. The environment was clean and what I like is they put gloves on when they came in to start the procedure. The doctor Dr Ali and her Dentist Asst. Lemis made us all comfortable and enjoyable. She explained everything she was doing, and the results. I will recommend, I wish they served adults.
