About Affordable Dentures & Implants
An on-site denture lab changes what a tooth-replacement practice can do in a single day. The Scott branch of Affordable Dentures & Implants runs one on West Willow Street, which is why repairs, relines and adjustments that would otherwise mean a week without your denture can often be turned around while you wait. That capability defines the patient it suits best: someone who already wears a prosthesis, needs it working again quickly, and does not want the case boxed up and shipped to an outside laboratory.
For anyone still deciding, the honest comparison is between tiers rather than between clinics. Economy dentures start around $395 per plate here and do the basic job. The UltimateFit line begins near $1,398 and uses different materials and a more detailed fitting process. Implants are priced from roughly $1,340 each before the restoration that sits on top of them, and extraction packages start around $105 per tooth. Those are starting figures rather than quotes: the number for your mouth depends on how many teeth come out, whether any of them are surgical extractions, and how much healing time your ridge needs before a final prosthesis will fit properly.
Dr. Donovan J. Smith and Dr. Corey Robertson practise here as general dentists, and the office offers a free consultation with a traditional X-ray at the first visit, which lets you get an examination, a plan and a figure before committing to anything. That first appointment is the right place to raise the questions that actually decide the outcome: whether any remaining teeth are worth keeping as overdenture abutments, how stable a lower denture is likely to be given the shape of your ridge, and what the sequence and timeline genuinely look like from extraction through to final delivery.
Scott sits directly west of Lafayette on I-10, so this location is the practical one for patients coming from Duson, Rayne and the western side of Lafayette Parish rather than crossing the city. The office keeps a standard 8am to 5pm weekday schedule and closes at weekends. One limitation deserves stating plainly: a denture is a removable appliance resting on tissue that keeps changing shape, so even a well-made set needs relining every few years. Implants slow that process considerably by loading the bone directly, but nothing eliminates it altogether.
The Scott location of Affordable Dentures & Implants runs an on-site denture lab, so repairs, relines and adjustments are often handled the same day rather than shipped out. Dr. Donovan J. Smith and Dr. Corey Robertson see patients for extractions, economy through UltimateFit denture tiers, and implants priced per fixture. A free consultation with a traditional X-ray at the first visit gives you a plan and a figure before you commit. Open weekdays 8am to 5pm, west of Lafayette on I-10.

Receptionist was rude and tried to tell me something different from what I was told in the back
Forgot it was a dentist office , I was so relaxed and impressed
The experience took absolutely too long. I arrived at 9:00, paper work took about 26 minutes. I went into the waiting room sat, waited unto I was called to go for consultation. That took another hours thirty minutes including impressions. Then another hour and a half in the waiting room to get my dentures back. I asked the receptionist about how much more time was needed. Oh she had forgotten to go get them from the back. It was two O’clock before i I left there.
So I had an appointment scheduled for my first fitting, called the office the day before my appointment to find out my appointment time and the computers were down. Ask the lady at the front desk to please call me as soon as they came back up to let me know what time my appointment was, which never happened. The next day I called the office several times that morning no one answered the phone it kept going to a voicemail finally around noon I was able to get a hold of someone and she said oh you missed your appointment. I asked her if I could then come in right away she told me no I would have to wait two weeks for an appointment, I kind of got rude because it had been 4 weeks I hadn't eaten a good meal because I didn't have teeth in my mouth. But she didn't seem to care then she puts Tasha on the phone and she began to be very unprofessional speaking to me as if I had done something wrong. Then she proceeds to tell me that they are no longer going to see me as a patient because I was it irate on the phone but I had every reason to be they should have called me and told me when my appointment time was so I wouldn't have missed it and I would have been there. Now here I am waiting on them to release my prior authorization so I can see a new dentist which still hasn't happened yet so they're prolonging this situation as long as they can which is a very very unprofessional.
My daughter had an appointment for 8 AM, so we got there @7:30 to wait in the parking lot until the doors were open to sit in the waiting room. 9:30 comes around and by this time we had both seen minimum 6-7 patients, THAT CAME IN AFTER US, get called to the back. So at this point my daughter kindly relayed the message that she had made the appointment at opening time (8am) so we could handle other important matters that morning. We sadly ended up leaving without being seen at 10 AM after being told by the front desk receptionist it could be up to another TWO HOURS before being seen. Apparently at this location, existing patients will ALWAYS go come first compared to new patients/consultations. From point of view, that’s no way to make someone feel welcomed when they are already at their lowest due to dental issues.
The consultation was better than what I expected. Everyone was pleasant, courteous and answered all of my questions which made me feel super happy about my choices. What I chose has to be sent to a lab in Texas but I went with a custom order. But overall I am very grateful for all of the staff that helped me. What they didn't tell me was when I went back in 2weeks I still left without my choices and then told me I had to wait another month before they get them from the lab. I am very upset because that was not explain to me. It took awhile to get my custom order but I am very pleased with my other
Very nice and compassionate people! I enjoy there company when I’m there it’s very busy but worth the wait !! I felt good about the service and they made sure I was good before I left ! The only thing is that sometimes it takes awhile to be seen waiting in the lobby with an appointment. But other than that I love this place it’s like my Family now .
