Ahrens Orthodontics- Louisville

I had Invisalign here three years ago and have been embarrassed of my smile ever since. Naturally, my teeth are great. All I wanted was a little fine tuning. This should have been a simple job with excellent results but instead I paid around $3500 to wreck my smile. The absolute WORST AND IRREPARABLE part is that Dr. Ahrens insisted on shaving down my four, top front incisors down, at the end of the treatment. I told him I did not want that but he insisted it would make everything beautiful. Blindly, I trusted his "expertise." My four front teeth are now shorter than my canines. Why the hell would someone intentionally make four, big, beautiful front teeth - the part that shows the most in a smile - shorter than canines?! At some point I am going to have to pay god knows how much money to have fake veneers put over my four front teeth, to get back what I had naturally before this guy ruined them. In addition, the one crooked tooth that bothered me the most is still crooked. Beyond that, when I had my initial consult, he sold me on the Spark brand aligners. When I arrived at my next appointment to receive my first trays, he had switched it to Invisalign because the sales rep had been incentivizing him. This should have been the first sign that this practice is not about what is best for the patients. When the trays were done, I received the retainer. It was poorly made and was so tight that I had to yank it very hard to get it off of my teeth. This understandably led to the thing cracking withing a couple of months. I asked for a replacement and they said it would be $300 to have a new one made. Only because I threw a fit about the shoddy job that was done in making the first one did they agree to replace it at no charge. If you want to waste thousands of dollars to have your teeth look like trash then this is the place to go. I will never be happy about my smile since going here.

Dr Gerry and his team are phenomenal. Both of my children have had braces and I would recommend everyone to this office. They are knowledgeable, patient, kind, and they educate their patients. I have included a picture of my son as he was leaving their office, all smiles.

We had an amazing experience with our son’s treatment. His teeth look beautiful and in record time, too. His forecast was 16 months but we finished in only 10 months wearing Invisalign. I would recommend to anyone looking to improve their smile. Side note, his dad was my orthodontist. Excellent practice to care for your family.
