I have had the most wonderful experience here at Alabama Family Dental. I received so much Caren’s honesty! She explained very well what next steps I should be taking as well as what’s to come. I look forward for my next appointment because I know I will be in great hands. Staff was amazing I’m extremely happy with my services today I will be back.. 10/10
First visit and I had a great experience! The office was very nice and clean, and Laurel was absolutely amazing and so informative.
UPDATE: This place WAS great when Dr. Whatley was there but I won't be back after my last appointment. The doctor & hygienist talked in code and when they did speak to me, it was extremely condescending. It was kind of shocking how much things have changed.
Outstanding dentistry here! I love going to them. All of my questions are answered and they do their best to always schedule you in. I love the idea with the postcard reminders!

I have been going to Alabama Family Dental for several months now. Primarily working with Dr Whately’s assistant/consultant Carleigh. She is very knowledgeable and methodical in her approach at each appointment visit. All the dental tools and equipment are layed out in order for the up coming visit. As a patient I already know what to anticipate because Carleigh had informed me during the previous visit and I need that confident assurance she projects. It’s very personal for me to have someone in my space/face literally during these necessary procedures and I thank Carleigh and the Alabama Family Dental for making this process tolerable for me. Another family member at Alabama Family Dental that truly makes this place unique is the Insurance, Finance representative, otherwise the ‘Money Lady’ Niya Mia-Mya (whatever). No matter what your financial circumstances happens to be Niya can work out a payment arrangement with you. Wether cash, credit card, checks , insurance or payment plan, you have options. She has the most open engaging and unique personality of anyone I have ever met. She’ll take all your money by your choice and you’ll be happy about it , very unique lady. The diverse personalities at Alabama Family Dental is what makes it a Family experience.
Went here because I needed a dentist closer to me. They told me I had 8 cavities, one of which needed a root canal and a crown. Went somewhere else, they told me I had 2 cavities, both of which were fixable via fillings. Do not let them fool you, they only want to make as much money off of you as possible.
Alabama Family Dental is by far the best dental office I’ve ever been too. The staff up front was great and my hygienist Laurel done a really nice job like always.Dr. Nguyen was also very amazing.
