About All Smiles Dental Group

All Smiles Dental Group provides dental care on Bloomington Street in Colorado Springs, Colorado. At the core of a general dental practice is preventive and restorative care: checkups, professional cleanings, fillings, and screening for decay and gum disease before either becomes a bigger problem. It is the kind of appointment most people need on a routine schedule rather than only when something hurts.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts. I have never had a bad experience at All Smiles. Dr. Clarkson and her staff are friendly and professional. If you are looking for a new dentist this is the place!

I switched to this office after my other dentist changed owners and had a lot of turnover for several years. I had my first appointment here today for a cleaning and x-rays, and I wish I would have made the switch sooner. I don't enjoy going to the dentist, but everyone at this office was professional and kind. The hygienist found a small pocket area that everyone else has missed for several years and I wasn't aware of, which is disappointing because I could have been taking better care of that with a water flosser had I known about it. I'm glad to be able to trust an office with my dental care again!

I have been going here for years and it seemed pretty good, but I never had major dental issues either. Over time it just went down hill. My last appointment I had a cleaning, and the hygienist was not gentle after she had been told I was having some pain. Then after she finally finished and went to get the dentist for the check up…. The dentist had left for the day. I never got to see a dentist for a check up and to address my concerns. I will not be going back, I have already booked another appointment with another office and had my file sent over so I can be looked at and my concerns actually addressed!

There are a lot of practices that will present themselves as kind and professional, yet insist on services or procedures you don't actually need— in order to maximize their profits. This is not that type of practice. They are professional, kind, comforting, and practice with integrity. The office is very clean and you can tell everyone there takes pride in what they do and are happy to be a part of the team.

My first visit was very pleasing. Amy, the hygienist, was quite helpful, very informative and so friendly. I felt right at home. It was the best choice because my dentist for 25 years had passed, so I am starting over and this is where I will be staying.

Hadn’t been to the dentist in 8 years so to say I was anxious is an understatement! The entire team was so wonderful…..taking the time to ensure I was comfortable and cleaning was painless. Truly such a wonderful experience…..everyone was so kind, smiling constantly and truly care that the visit was pleasurable.

I’m currently visiting Colorado Springs from North Carolina and unexpectedly needed a same day appointment due to an infection around my wisdom tooth. The entire staff were absolutely incredible and truly go the extra mile for their patients. Dr. Kelly Clarkson was caring, patient, and genuinely understanding of how much pain I was in. She talked me through everything and made me feel completely at ease during the extraction. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience given the circumstances. Thank you so much to the whole team. I’m so grateful for the care I received!

I would not go here again. When I was in for my appointment, an employee had their toddler daughter behind the desk screaming to be picked up by the mother. She ran off a few times and other employees had to track the toddler down as she was in the hallways and dental rooms. I was told that I needed a deep cleaning and when I said I cannot do a deep cleaning I was NOT offered a regular cleaning. This dental office is a money mill and NOT dental care minded. I will be looking for another office with less chaos and more patient care. UPDATE: The number they gave to call back was their office number so the women who were in the office co-signing a child running and screaming in a dental office are those handling the complaints. Hmmmmm.....

My husband and I have been going here for a while at first It was OK but overtime it started to become a nightmare. We kept getting hit with bills specifically for my husband (even though he has full coverage dental insurance) absolutely no communication and even though when we checked out- they tell us we are good to go, no payment necessary - still get hit with a bill weeks later.. Once you call to communicate the front desk will give you bratty attitude. And again, no communication other than you must pay the bill. There also Was no communication prior to service that my husband will need a ‘deep clean’ every single time leading To a bill every single time. there was absolutely no Difference between a ‘routine basic clean’ And the ‘deep cleaning’ they said he needs. It was the basic brush and floss, didn’t even receive fluoride. So not sure if that Was the dental hygienist fault or not? Because what we keep getting told is very different than the service received. I would just be very careful with clinics like this Because at the end of the day, all they want is money even with full Coverage insurance. Communication Needs to be improved immediately.
