About All Smiles Dentistry
All Smiles Dentistry operates on 80th Street South in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. Implants are considered by many dentists the most durable way to replace a missing tooth, since the titanium post fuses with the jaw bone over several months and then supports a crown that functions much like a natural tooth. Enough healthy bone is the main prerequisite, and a graft can build that up first if needed.
A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.
Cosmetic treatment is generally the least invasive branch of dentistry, built around changing how teeth look rather than fixing something broken. Whitening and bonding sit at the lighter end; veneers and reshaping involve more planning. Most cosmetic dental insurance excludes this kind of work, since it is elective rather than medically necessary.
A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring a false tooth to crowns placed on the teeth either side of the gap, creating a fixed replacement rather than a removable one. It is a longstanding alternative to an implant, particularly when the neighbouring teeth already need crowns.
Gum disease treatment ranges from a deeper professional cleaning for early inflammation through to more involved periodontal care once bone around the teeth has started to be affected. Bleeding gums are usually the earliest sign, and the early stage is reversible with proper cleaning and better daily plaque control.
Dentures replace some or all of the natural teeth in a jaw with a removable appliance, custom-fitted to the mouth. A full denture replaces every tooth; a partial fills gaps where some natural teeth remain. Because the jaw bone reshapes over time, dentures typically need adjusting or remaking periodically. I’ve been going there over 8 years never had a issue until today the new lady got the drill stuck in my tooth n gums and let it sit there and a good portion of my tooth is now gone, will not be back
I had my dental work done by this clinic since 2020. Dr. Israelson does a great job. However as of Spring 2024 her staff has not bothered to return my phone calls . That is very poor service. Apparently they don’t want me as a patient. I believe they have responsibility to explain that. As of last week I went in for an appointment. We tried calling my phone & it did not ring or show up as a call on my phone. Lori had tried calling me from The office a # of times. So I want to state there must be something wrong with my iPhone 14. Please note I was wrong & I apologize.
Love the people that work here. Have been going here my whole life and even when they get all new staff, they are all still great.
I have seen Dr. Colleen on a few occassions. On a general exam she was great! She also in the past did an excellent job bonding my teeth in the front. Since I never had any trouble when I decided to get crowns put on my front two teeth, I did not hesitate to have her do the work. The experience was horrible. I came in and told her I had problems with novicane. She looked surprised. I said I needed to have apple juice because the norepinephrine in the novicane affects me. I get jittery, sweaty, and shaky. I brought my own apple juice to help alleviate the problem. She seemed shocked. Her assistant had to explain she has seen this before. Ok now my nightmare begins. She drilled out both of my front teeth. The temporary’s she used were clearly too big. Her assistant tried to explain they were too large. I left the office looking like Peter Rabbit. None too surprising, one of the temporary’s feel out. Ok back to her office to get injected again to put another temporary in. Well go figure, then about two days later the other temporary falls out. Ok now back to her office again to get the other temporary put in with more injections and apple juice. Never along the way did she say, so sorry I will give you a discount this is not acceptable. I worried the permanent crowns would not work, but they did except to this day I have a ridge - bump under the right side of the right front tooth. I was so happy she finally got them in I hugged her. After getting the bill with not even a mention od a discount I called her office. Her receptionist told me they did a service and hung up on me. Dr. Colleen also said she did a service and wants the full amount due. Unbelievable! 25 years plus as a dentist and she could not get two crowns down without four rounds of novicane. No one should have ro experience the pain and fear endured. I am going to the Dental Board. If you ever need cosmetic dentistry I would not recommend going here.
Great dentist here! Gave a great service in a very timely manner. I always felt like my needs were accommodated and I was treated with respect here. Thank you for the great work!
This dental office has a new owner as of Feb 1, 2014 - Dr. Israelson. She's knowledgeable, skilled in her workmanship, and willing to take the time needed to explain procedures to her patients. Her staff is also friendly and equally talented and skilled in their own jobs. I highly recommend this place!
