About Amberly Family Dentistry

Based on University Cove Place in Tampa, Florida, Amberly Family Dentistry is a dental practice serving the area. Emergency dental care covers sudden problems that will not wait for a routine appointment — severe pain, a knocked-out or fractured tooth, swelling, or a lost filling that leaves a tooth exposed. Same-day or urgent appointments are the point of an emergency service, rather than the standard multi-week booking window.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward. Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Amberly Family Dentistry located in Tampa?
Amberly Family Dentistry is on University Cove Place in Tampa, Florida (33613).
What days is Amberly Family Dentistry open?
Amberly Family Dentistry is open Monday through Saturday. Contact the practice through this page to confirm current appointment times before travelling.
What services does Amberly Family Dentistry offer?
Listed services at Amberly Family Dentistry include Emergency Dentistry. The full list is shown on this page.
What should I do if a tooth gets knocked out?
Pick the tooth up by the crown rather than the root, rinse it gently without scrubbing, and try to place it back in the socket. If that is not possible, keep it in milk and get to a dentist quickly — the chances of saving it drop sharply after the first hour.
How do I stop tooth pain until I can see a dentist?
Over-the-counter anti-inflammatory painkillers usually help more than paracetamol for dental pain, a cold compress against the cheek reduces swelling, and a warm salt-water rinse can ease irritation. None of these treat the cause, so they are a bridge to an appointment rather than a fix.
Why do dentists take X-rays?
Decay between teeth and problems below the gumline are invisible to the naked eye, so X-rays are what reveal them. Modern digital images use a low dose and are taken only when clinically justified.

I was nervous at first, but the staff at Amberly Family Dentistry made me feel comfortable right away. The emergency dentist responded quickly, took care of my toothache and gave me fast relief, and the whole experience was friendly and professional. I love how prompt and helpful everyone is, and I’ll definitely keep coming back for all my family’s dental needs.

I honestly can’t express how grateful I am for Amberly Family Dentistry. After being given the runaround by other dentists, they were the first to truly listen and show compassion for my autistic son. The dentist treated him with so much patience, kindness, and respect — it meant the world to us. I left feeling heard, supported, and thankful beyond words. They didn’t just provide dental care — they gave us comfort, understanding, and hope.

The doctor at this practice was extremely condescending and uninformative. I came in with a toothache and when I inquired about my care options care he dismissively pointed out that I was in pain and my options were limited to extraction when they were in fact not. So much for COSMETIC SPECIALISTS! I suffered through debilitating pain for another month or so researching options on my own before finding a new dentist would not leave me toothless and I would do it again before letting someone so careless about their patient even peak in my mouth which is ALL he did. I was honestly going to charge it to the fact that some people just aren’t good inside and only see you as a number until I get a letter about collections for the cost of the evaluation because THEY didn’t timely process their insurance claim in the 6+ weeks before I found a new dentist. It was already a horrible enough experience that I would rather be in excruciating pain before using this dentist and now that I’m STILL being inundated by their poor business practices I feel the need to make it known.

I honestly had such a great experience here. The procedure went way smoother than I expected, and the team made me feel really comfortable. The assistant was especially personable and took the time to explain everything he was doing, which helped ease my anxiety so much. What really stood out was the follow-up. Dr. Persaud personally called to check on me afterward, which I’ve never experienced before. I was honestly shocked but in a good way. That level of care meant a lot and made me feel truly taken care of. I highly recommend this office!

Yesterday I had my first visit with Dr Persaud due to tooth pain and an infection so I guess this would be an emergency visit. Amberly Family Dental took great care of me and the staff was so nice. I was able to get my tooth extracted and medications right in the office the same day and I felt so comfortable and I will now be seeing him for all of my routine dental care

They were able to schedule me same day on a Saturday. The entire staff and medical team were very kind and empathetic. The procedure itself went smoothly — which is a lot to say for someone with significant dental anxiety. The office is beautiful. Highly recommend!

I can not speak highly enough of Amberly Family Dentistry. A couple of days before Christmas I was treated here. At that time I had been in severe pain for about 3 weeks, from a wisdom tooth that needed pulled. I am a veteran, didn't have dental insurance and with it being during Christmas, money was tight. My father in law has been under this Dr's care for 20+ years. He called the Dr and the Dr told him to have me come in right away he would take care of me. The entire staff was extremely nice, helpful and they all went above and beyond to take care of me. He had me checked in, paperwork filled out, X-rays and procedure all done within an hour. This is an amazing Dr and staff that truly cares for their patients and went out of their way to help me in u time if need. I highly recommend this Dr and their services.
