About Apple Dental & Implant Center

Apple Dental has been treating patients from the same Hoover Road address since 1980, and the practice describes its approach as preventive first: a thorough examination, a careful diagnosis, then treatment. Dr. Kohn leads the office, and the working philosophy shows up in how appointments are structured, with diagnostic time given up front rather than compressed. The schedule is deliberately narrow. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday run eight to four, Tuesday shifts later to a ten-to-six block, and Fridays are closed, which is worth knowing before you plan around it.

Implants are the named focus, and this office differs from many Warren practices in that sedation is part of the toolkit. Intravenous sedation changes the calculation for a patient who needs several posts placed, or an extraction and a graft in one sitting, or who simply cannot tolerate a long appointment awake. There are strings attached. A medical history review comes first, certain conditions rule the option out altogether, and on the day itself your car keys go to whoever came with you. Ask about that early rather than at the surgical visit. Full mouth reconstruction is also offered here, which is a different proposition from replacing one tooth. It means rebuilding the bite height, the back-tooth support and the front-tooth appearance as a coordinated plan, usually over months, and it is the kind of case where the diagnostic phase genuinely matters more than the drilling.

The wider menu covers gum disease treatment, wisdom tooth extraction, TMJ complaints, crowns, fillings, dentures, veneers and Zoom in-office whitening. Periodontal treatment sitting alongside implant work is a sensible pairing, since the same tissue biology that loses teeth to gum disease also determines whether an implant will hold.

CareCredit financing is available through the practice, and the team notes that staff attend continuing seminars each year. The Hoover Road location puts it near the 12 Mile commercial corridor, an easy run from central Warren, Warren Woods and Center Line, with parking on site. If you need a Friday or a late evening appointment, this is not the right fit; if you want a long-established office where sedation options are on the table for surgical work, it is.

A long-standing Warren practice led by Dr. Kohn, working from the same Hoover Road address since 1980 with a preventive, diagnosis-led approach. Implants and full mouth reconstruction are the focus, supported by IV sedation for patients who need longer surgical appointments. The office also handles gum disease treatment, TMJ complaints, wisdom teeth, crowns, dentures, veneers and Zoom whitening. CareCredit financing is available. Closed Fridays, with a later start on Tuesdays.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is IV sedation appropriate for at this practice?
It suits long surgical appointments, patients having several implants or extractions in one sitting, and people whose anxiety makes routine treatment impossible. Sedation is administered after a medical history review, and some conditions and medications rule it out. You will not be able to drive afterward, so arrange a ride and expect the rest of the day to be written off. Discuss it at the consultation rather than on the day of surgery.
What does full mouth reconstruction involve?
It is a coordinated rebuild rather than a list of separate repairs. The plan usually addresses how far your jaw closes, which back teeth carry the chewing load, and how the front teeth look and function, then delivers crowns, implants, bridges or dentures in a deliberate order. Cases run over months and start with extensive records: photographs, imaging, bite registration and often a trial restoration you wear before anything permanent is made.
Is gum disease treated here as well as implants?
Yes, and the two belong together. Periodontal disease is the most common reason adult teeth are lost, and the same inflammatory process can attack the tissue around an implant once it is placed. Treating active gum disease before surgery, and keeping it controlled afterward, is what protects the investment. Expect pocket depth charting, scaling below the gumline and a maintenance interval shorter than the standard six months.

I cannot say enough good things about the staff and the dentist Dr Khan. Very friendly, professional and they do amazing work. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because one time I was trying to settle a payment and there was a discrepancy, one of the staff members acted like she was gonna hold me hostage if the account wasn’t settled. I don’t see her anymore and ever since then my experience has never been less than delightful.

New dentist for me....everyone is very nice but I had a bridge replacement which cost me 2600 and the bridge broke in 6 months. The teeth weren't prepared for the bridge properly which caused it to break....I have switched to my old dentist permanently.

Dr. Kohn is one of the most professional dentists I’ve ever met. He’s not only incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, but also takes the time to explain everything in a calm and reassuring way. His attention to detail and care for patient comfort truly stand out. I always feel like I’m in great hands when I visit his office!

I reached out to the office regarding a root canal infection and was told that they could provide treatment. Following my arrival and completion of the necessary paperwork, I was asked to pay $50 upfront. While the staff were professional and courteous, and I was seen in a timely manner, the dentist ultimately advised that he does not treat root canal infections, and an additional $100 payment was required. Unfortunately, this experience was both misleading and a waste of my time.

My first visit was today, and I already feel confident in this doctor. The staff is very friendly and the office seems to run efficiently. Great advise. I highly recommend this place. Try them you will not be sorry. I know a lot about dental and the procedures as my gf is a dental assistant of 14 plus years. They check all my boxes. Thanks you Doctor, you made me feel at home. See you soon. Eric

I love apple dental! I live in Livonia now and still make the drive to see Dr. Kohn and my hygienist Nancy. I have pretty much been going to Dr. Kohn my whole life and he always takes time to stop in and say hi and ask about my family before it’s time for my exam. The cleanings are thorough, painless, rarely a wait, and the staff is always happy to see you. My husband has lots of genetic teeth issues and has had MANY implants done by Dr. Kohn. We are very happy with the whole experience!! You can’t go wrong :)
