I've been taking my mom here to get her dental work done for over a year and wanted to share that she has been absolutely delighted to receive service from Mike Kang and his staff. Everyone has been incredibly supportive and friendly! It's a huge contrast to the previous service providers we've worked with in the past who only see you as a bank account they can drain rather than a person.

Dr. Kang explained what I should expect of the procedure. He did a great job making me feel relaxed and did what was needed. The staff is friendly and efficient.

Dr. Kang is the best dentist in OC hands-down. He’s very knowledgeable, patient, compassionate and really takes his time to be comprehensive. He caught things that other dentists have missed and took his time to explain the findings to me, great bedside manners. His front office staff is also extremely warm, welcoming and helpful. I am greeted with a smile every time I walk in . It’s obvious that this is a very well run practice, overall I would highly recommend it to any patient looking for excellent care.

I came here for a routine teeth cleaning, and I am so relieved I found this office. After having several frustrating experiences with other dental providers, Apple Tree Dental was a breath of fresh air. At previous offices I've visited, I had a Blue Shield Insurance, I felt extremely pressured. One local provider actually refused to perform a basic cleaning and sent me away because I couldn’t afford an $800 'deep cleaning' they recommended—they were very pushy about the money and made me feel like I didn't have a choice in my own care. I tried another office that felt more like a sales pitch than a check-up, where they constantly tried to negotiate prices just to get me to agree to extra out-of-pocket services. Now that I am under Medi-Cal, I was worried about finding a place that would treat me with respect. Apple Tree Dental was completely different. They didn’t try to upsell me or pressure me into unnecessary costs. The doctor was very kind, professional, and did a thorough cleaning, focusing exactly on what I needed. If you want an honest dentist who treats you like a patient rather than a sales target, this is the place to go!

I’ve been a patient at this office for years, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing. The office feels constantly overbooked, and any questions I asked were treated as if I were doing something wrong. I arrived at 8am and was at their office for 2 hours with a referral out. There’s no reason for staff to become frustrated over insurance authorizations that’s not the patient’s fault. The manager went as far as bringing up a past patient I referred complaining their insurance didn’t cover it. That’s not my responsibility and I’m pretty sure that’s a violation of privacy. Please contact them directly. My main concern was asking why they planned to do an extraction, bone grafting, and implant placement all at the same time when I currently have an active infection. Instead of receiving a clear explanation, I was abruptly referred out to another doctor’s office. The way this was handled made it very clear that my questions and my voice as a patient were not welcome. Even though a pre-authorization exists, the lack of transparency around pricing is unbelievable. Patients deserve clear communication, not frustration or dismissal, when asking about their treatment plan or costs. No one should feel uncomfortable for wanting to understand what’s being done to their own body. Unfortunately, this experience has pushed me away from an office I trusted for years and recommended, and that’s truly disappointing. I will not be recommending this office and I think everyone needs to understand that waiting this long and sharing one doctor between 6 patients is unreasonable. Doctor said I have 3 crown patients waiting for me at the same time. What! How is that normal and this toxic culture needs to change. Truly disappointing. Thank you for recommending an exit and clearly communicating I’m not wanted as a patient. Happy holidays!

Highly recommended this dentistry! The team is quick and easy to communicate with. You can also just text them to set up appointments, which I appreciate the convenience lol and they've been very kind and patient in working with me on my cavities lol ^_^

Apple Tree is the best dentist office I've been to. Mike Kang DDS, is very gifted. The staff are all caring and professional. If you're looking for the best, pay Apple Tree a visit. They'll take good care of you.

First Dr Kang is the best got my first laser treatment last week and it went good. I like how he explains it detail by detail. Front desk Liz very good customer service. Very friendly staff. I like how I go in there and I just feel comfortable and not scared. I give it 100 got recommended by a friend and I recommend this place to everyone. Any question you guys have Liz has the answers thank you guys.

I’ve been going to AppleTree Dental for a while now and it is a really great place. Everyone from the dentists to the staff are very friendly. Front desk Liz is awesome and was able to assist me in determining the best option that suits my needs. My hygienist, (DR. Kang), has a keen eye, very detailed and does such a great job! I recently went from partial flippers that were a few years old to a more permanent porcelain implant bridge. I highly recommend AppleTree if you’re looking for new dentist’s office.
