Family orthodontics, Maryvale Village
Smyleee Rating
Outstanding
Arizona Orthodontic Centers is ranked in the top 3 on 3 Smyleee Top 10 lists.
Arizona Orthodontic Centers on North 108th Avenue runs a family orthodontic practice in Maryvale Village, in the west-Phoenix residential corridor. The clinic handles braces, Invisalign, and clear-aligner orthodontic cases for kids, teens, and adults, with the kind of family-focused setup that suits households with multiple children whose orthodontic needs come up at different times across several years rather than as a single one-time project.
Services span traditional metal braces, ceramic braces for less-visible alignment, Invisalign clear-aligner cases for teens and adults, and post-treatment retention with retainers. The practice also handles early-intervention orthodontics for kids who need pre-teen alignment work to manage eruption patterns before permanent teeth fully come in. Treatment plans are imaging-driven so estimated duration and cost can be set up front rather than revised mid-case as alignment progresses across the eighteen-to-twenty-four-month treatment window.
If your kid's general dentist has flagged crowding or alignment issues, this is the kind of orthodontic practice that handles those west-Phoenix cases day to day.
Pricing fits the standard Phoenix orthodontic range, with monthly payment plans typical for both braces and Invisalign cases — useful given orthodontic treatment's stretch across nearly two years for most patients. Patients searching for an orthodontist in Phoenix, kids braces in Phoenix, or affordable braces in Phoenix, AZ frequently consult family orthodontic practices like this one when planning treatment for one or more kids at the same time. It suits families with multiple children needing alignment work over several years, and works for adults considering Invisalign as a first orthodontic case in adulthood. First visits typically begin with imaging, photographs, and a comprehensive orthodontic consultation covering treatment options, projected duration, and full cost — usually scheduled before any active treatment begins. The North 108th Avenue location in Maryvale Village is convenient for families across west Phoenix, and the practice's family-focused shape works well for households with multiple kids whose orthodontic needs come up at different times across several years rather than as a single one-time event handled in isolation.

Went for my first consult last week. Dr. Park is absolutely amazing and Mrs. Park is so kind, warm and welcoming. His tech took photos and X-rays and I decided to begin treatment so I was accommodated to scan the same day. A previous orthodontic office left residual adhesive on my teeth so they were kind enough to fit me in to remove the remaining adhesive. I was scanned by Sherry who didn’t seem to be having a good day. It was apparent that she was annoyed by something. That translated into her seeming annoyed that she had to capture my wisdom teeth during the scan which I still have, it was seeming a bit of a challenge. After the scan was done she was also the person to address the residual glue on my teeth. She rubbed my teeth with rubber gloves and said she didn’t feel any glue. I tried to explaining to her where the glue mostly was and she cut me off and just began drilling with a rough drill tool, which I assumed was normal since she was addressing adhesive. She confirmed while drilling that there was some glue left behind and when she was done my teeth felt gritty. I asked her if she needed to polish my teeth and she just said no and told me if I need to rinse that I could rinse. When I got home I brushed, but my teeth were still gritty and my front tooth was throbbing a little, I assumed it would eventually go away. But a couple of days later my teeth still felt gritty after brushing and my front tooth was still throbbing and was a bit more uncomfortable. I then noticed a huge dull indentation drilled right into the center of my left front tooth that wasn’t there before. I reached out to their office to let them know that my teeth were still gritty and that there was a large indentation drilled into the center of my front left tooth during the appointment and that it was throbbing. I asked if I could come back to have it polished and maybe apply fluoride to protect the tooth. Sherry responded to my message saying to go to my dentist, but I had just seen a dentist for cleaning and polishing 3 weeks prior. She offered to make an appointment to see the doctor which I was happy to schedule and I let her know that they have my before photos, they would be able to see the noticeable difference. I went back a few days later and Dr. Park was kind enough to examine the indentation. Sherry was dishonest and told the Dr. that she didn’t see any glue and that she polished my teeth when she hadn’t. I had to interject and remind her that I asked her if I needed polishing, because my teeth were gritty, and she said no and only advised me to rinse and that she actually did see glue. Dr. Park instructed her to polish my teeth. I was left alone with her again and it was uncomfortable. It was almost as if it pained her to be nice and I couldn’t understand why this was the dynamic. She polished the front left tooth that she drilled the indentation into and said ‘there you go’. I asked if she could polish all of my teeth so that they can be uniform, since they all were drilled with the same tool the week before. She hesitantly said okay and proceeded to polish the top and bottom left teeth, then she stopped and said ‘there you go’. I asked if she could just finish polishing my bottom right side and said she didn’t want to hit my cheek. I didn’t understand what she meant, my cheek has never caused an issue so I asked her to try. Long story short, she did a poor polishing job. I left the office feeling confused and disappointed to even have to ask multiple times for her to perform a standard service thoroughly. The indentation is still visible on my front tooth. Some of my teeth I can feel are polished, others are not polished thoroughly and I start Invisalign in a couple of weeks. I wanted a clean slate before starting. Dr. Park is amazing however going forward I will ask to helped by a different tech. Still excited to start Invisalign.
Dr. Park is an outstanding orthodontist whose expertise and professionalism have earned my full trust—especially when it comes to my child’s smile. Although the early stages of the braces journey haven’t been easy, and certainly not without its challenges, we truly believe it will all be worth it in the end. Dr. Park came highly recommended by both a friend and dentist, and we’re so glad we followed their advice. Mrs. Park and the entire team are incredibly welcoming, providing exceptional care and service at every visit. A special thank you to Miriam, who has been especially wonderful with my son—he feels comfortable and fully trusts her, which means the world to us. Thank you again to Dr. Park and the entire team for your continued care and support!
The whole team is awesome. Crisal is the sweetest and Sherri is the perfectionist. Dr. Park is the best. This office definitely worth trying
I’ve had a great experience at Arizona Orthodontic Centers! The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and they take the time to explain every step of the process so you feel comfortable and informed. The office is clean and professional, and they’re really good at working with both kids and adults. I also appreciate how flexible they’ve been with scheduling and payment options, which made everything much easier. Most importantly, the results have been amazing — I couldn’t be happier with my smile!
I am very lucky that my son received treatment here. Besides being efficient, the friendly greetings from the staff were very heartwarming.
