About Arlington Implants & Cosmetic Dentistry (formerly Dr. Heather Martinson, DDS & Associates)

A crown is one of the more predictable dental expenses. Insurance typically covers roughly half of it once the deductible is met, up to your annual maximum. What varies is whether you pay for chair time twice. The traditional route sends an impression to an outside laboratory, seats a temporary crown, and brings you back two or three weeks later; a milled same-day crown compresses that into a single appointment, which for anyone taking time off work is a real saving on top of the fee. Arlington Implants & Cosmetic Dentistry uses CEREC to do exactly that. Cosmetic work sits on the other side of the line, with veneers, whitening, and elective reshaping falling almost entirely outside insurance, and the practice is direct about that, offering cash discounts for uninsured patients and payment plans on larger cases.

Dr. Ghaznia Khan, DDS runs the office at 4100 Southwest Green Oaks Boulevard, in the southwest corner of Arlington where Green Oaks runs toward the Kennedale side. It is a drive-to practice with its own parking rather than a walk-in storefront, which suits patients coming from the southern neighborhoods better than those working downtown. The practice was previously known as Dr. Heather Martinson, DDS & Associates, so older records, referral letters, and insurance histories may still carry that name. First visits combine an examination, 3D imaging, and screening for oral cancer and periodontal disease before any treatment discussion starts.

The clinical mix runs from cleanings, fillings, root canals, and wisdom tooth removal through to implants restored with same-day crowns, full and partial dentures, gum contouring, and smile makeovers. Dr. Khan is a certified Invisalign Gold provider, a designation that reflects case volume rather than a different aligner product. Emergency examinations get worked into that day's list whenever a gap opens.

One limitation is worth stating plainly. Bleaching acts on enamel and dentine; it does nothing to porcelain or resin, which means crowns, veneers and white fillings simply keep the color a laboratory picked for them years earlier. A mixed smile often needs its restorations remade afterward to match. Plan the sequence deliberately, whitening first and replacing second. Hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday until five, with Wednesday and Friday finishing at three.

Arlington Implants & Cosmetic Dentistry, formerly Dr. Heather Martinson, DDS & Associates, is led by Dr. Ghaznia Khan on Southwest Green Oaks Boulevard. Treatment spans cleanings, fillings, root canals, wisdom teeth, implants restored with CEREC same-day crowns, dentures, porcelain veneers, whitening, gum contouring, and Invisalign. Same-day emergency exams are available, with cash discounts for uninsured patients and payment plans on larger cases.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this still Dr. Heather Martinson's office?
The practice on Southwest Green Oaks Boulevard was formerly known as Dr. Heather Martinson, DDS & Associates and now operates as Arlington Implants & Cosmetic Dentistry under Dr. Ghaznia Khan, DDS. Same address, same phone number, different name on the door. If your insurance records, referral letter, or old appointment cards carry the previous name, mention it when you call so your existing chart can be located.
What is a CEREC same-day crown, and does it last as long?
CEREC scans the prepared tooth digitally and mills the crown from a solid ceramic block in the office, so it is designed, made, and cemented in one visit with no temporary and no second appointment. Longevity is comparable to conventional laboratory ceramic crowns for most cases. Complex shade-matching on a front tooth is the situation where an outside laboratory technician may still produce the better aesthetic result.
Will whitening also lighten my crowns and veneers?
No. Whitening gel works on natural enamel and dentine only. Crowns, veneers, bonding, and tooth-colored fillings stay exactly the shade they were manufactured in, so brightening the teeth around them can leave an obvious mismatch, especially across the front. The usual sequence is to whiten first, wait for the shade to stabilize over a couple of weeks, then remake any restorations that no longer blend.

I can’t say enough great things about Dr.Khan and her team! The entire team is friendly, professional, and genuinely cares about their patients. They have gone above and beyond to make every visit comfortable and to ensure I received the best possible care. They always take the time to answer my questions and explain everything clearly. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist they can trust!

The care I’ve received from Dr. Martinson’s office has always been top notch. Not only from Dr. Martinson herself, but from her entire staff. I really don’t like having my teeth worked on, and they always give me options to make me more comfortable.

Adding a review for more visibility of this office. Dr. Martinson was great! I hate going to the dentist, but I needed work done and although the appointment took longer than I initially expected, given my treatment plan revisions, updated exam and xrays, in addition to a filling and crown, the time was fair for what we needed to accomplish. Samantha in the business office is really nice and tries to work with your finances. GREAT doctor, staff, and service and I highly recommend, even for kids!

Staff at the front desk were attentive and polite. Jenny, dental hygienist, was pleasantly engaging, gentle and made the visit stress free. Dr Martinson is like a good friend who can pick up with you like she saw you a day or two ago. She is attentive and thorough.

Dr. Heather and her team were great! The front office staff were so kind, professional, and ensured I was taken care. The office is beautiful, warm, and inviting (not to mention smells lovely). It’s evident that Dr. Heather, and all of her staff, take great pride in their work. The most impressive part of my visit was Dr. Heather’s thoroughness. She went over every single detail about the health of my mouth, X-rays, options, and took the time to make sure I understood. It’s difficult finding a good dentist, and even more difficult finding a good dentist who takes the time to educate their patients. Dr. Heather truly checks all of the boxes. My review is long, but just really wanted to highlight how great my visit was. Thank you Dr. Heather, and your wonderful staff!
