About Atlantic Dentistry - Atlantic Beach

Based on Atlantic Boulevard in the Golden Glades/The Woods area of Jacksonville, Florida, Atlantic Dentistry - Atlantic Beach is a dental practice serving the area. Holistic, or biological, dentistry applies standard dental diagnosis and treatment within an approach that emphasises material choice and conservative treatment, considering oral health as connected to the body more broadly rather than treating the mouth in isolation.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.

Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.

Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave. Do holistic dentists use fillings without mercury?
Practices describing themselves this way typically favour tooth-coloured composite and ceramic materials over amalgam. If material choice is your reason for choosing a practice, it is worth confirming directly what they use.
Are holistic dentists still trained in regular dentistry?
Yes. A holistic practice is a licensed dental practice that has chosen a particular philosophy around materials and conservative treatment — it is not a separate qualification, and standard diagnosis and treatment still apply.
Why do dentists take X-rays?
Decay between teeth and problems below the gumline are invisible to the naked eye, so X-rays are what reveal them. Modern digital images use a low dose and are taken only when clinically justified.

My first appointment with the team at Atlantic Dental was due to a toothache. They were able to quickly see me and address my concern. When I arrived at the office and got into the examination room, I was greeted by the Dental SWAT team, which was very encouraging. Dr. Greenberg and the team were excellent in evaluating and confirming the source of my pain and counseled me on the options. I left their office that day with the proper treatment to address and restore what was ailing me. Dr Greenberg was excellent. As a new patient, I can tell you I am extremely satisfied with the services they provided and intend to continue using them for my primary dental care.

Thank you to the staff at Atlanta Dentistry on Atlantic Beach. when I woke up this morning I had a terrible pain on the left side of my mouth. I couldn't put anything hot or cold in my mouth. I got an appointment with Atlantic Dentistry and the staff found out that I had a cracked molar and needed a root canal. Root canal's are never fun but their made it as painless and easy as possible. Thanks to the whole staff I can drink coffee tomorrow morning. I do want to thank everyone and highly recommend Atlantic Dentistry in the future

I came to the Atlantic Dentitry stressed with a strong complex pain. I met people who, over the very long time it took them to adress my specific condition this day, have been nice, open, carefull, and able to reach the results they spend enough time to explain me. I also noticed that all people working there with Dr Greenberg were very respectful and friendly between each other when talking about what needed to be done, and any other topics. This to me also shows a healthy work and business environement. so, I will say it again: THANK YOU !!

I’ve been coming here for years and really trust their work and appreciate their bedside manner. It is extremely clean and they have state of the art technologies to make getting dental work done smooth and relatively quick. I’ve had multiple root canals and crown implants done here. The times I’ve come in in pain due to dental or other issues the ladies at the front desk and checkout, the hygienists, and the people who handle insurance always treat me with empathy and delicate care. Thank you!

I would not recommend this dental office to anyone. About a year ago, I paid nearly $3,000 out of pocket for a root canal and crown. Recently, the crown completely fell out despite there being no underlying damage or decay. When I contacted the office, instead of standing behind their work, I was told I would need to pay a $250 recementation fee just to have it put back in place. To make matters worse, they suddenly informed me that I had a $58 balance on my account from over a year ago. This was the first time anyone had ever mentioned this balance to me. Conveniently, it only came up after I contacted them regarding the failed crown. As someone without dental insurance, I felt like I was treated as a source of revenue rather than a patient. After spending nearly $3,000 out of pocket, I expected a higher standard of care and at least some accountability when a crown failed after only a year. Instead, I was met with additional fees and no meaningful effort to resolve the situation fairly. I spoke with upper management hoping they would work with me given the circumstances. The crown should not have fallen out after only a year, and the office failed to notify me of an alleged balance for over twelve months. Unfortunately, management was unwilling to waive either charge or offer any reasonable resolution. The lack of accountability, poor communication, and unwillingness to stand behind their dental work has been extremely frustrating. What should have been a straightforward situation turned into an unnecessary headache. Save yourself the stress, expense, and frustration and consider another dental office.

I had a great experience at this dental office today. My appointment was at 8:30 AM, and everything moved very quickly and smoothly. They did the X-rays, consultation, paperwork, and the extractions without any delays. By around 9:20 AM I was already leaving the clinic. The whole process felt very organized and professional. The staff and doctor were efficient and made everything simple and stress-free. I had two teeth removed and the procedure itself was fast. Right now there’s just a little soreness where the teeth were removed, which is totally expected, but overall the experience was excellent. I really appreciate how quick and well-organized everything was. I would definitely recommend this place.

Were not able to provide out of a pocket cost till the very last minute. Diagnosed with something I was not confirmed with another office, seemingly just to charge me for a treatment I do not need. On the other hand did not detect the issue I had and needed treatment with, seemingly because it is insurance covered. The technical staff was not very informative on what they were doing and left the patient alone hanging forever while they were chatting and laughing in the back. The doctors exam seemed superficial and didn't notice issues I had. They charge exorbitant fees which are twice cheaper elsewhere. Their TV or streaming services are not working so they definitely cut costs on that. Wanted to upsell me a toothpaste and mouthwash for out of pocket which I did not ask for. Stay away. Looks like a scam business, not amedica facility focused on treating patients. The other office visited was much more informative, helpful, and way better value for your pocket. Overall, I do not recommend. And I only did this review because they keep spamming me with requests for a review though various channels.

Another pleasant, professional visit at Atlantic Dentistry. Cierra, my hygienist has a gentle reassuring manner. Have used this practice for check ups, cleanning, fillings and a crown. I've been pleased with each experience. I work with Dr. Greenberg presently but have found the other DMD's over the last 4 years equally capable. Jeff Z.

I can’t say enough great thing about Atlantic Dentistry. I have severe dental anxiety and Dr. Aillen Acosta DMD. Was VERY nice and accommodating. I can’t remember the name of the assistant that took care of me (she’s shorter with glasses) but she was very informative and caring with the sweetest personality. Both my dentist and my hygienist made sure I was comfortable and walked me through every step of my extractions made sure I understood what was being done and why and made me feel much better about my anxiety. I definitely recommend this office to anyone who has severe anxiety 10/10
