Dr. Rakes is fantastic. She is knowledgeable, personable, and professional. I know I am in good hands whenever I’m in her care!
Hong is one of the nicest people in the world and she is so accommodating and patient! My gums and teeth are really sensitive but despite concerns, she's always helpful and truly kind. I am so thankful to her and the rest of the staff as well as Dr. Reikes (who is seriously the best dentist you could ask for) for making every experience happy and comfortable. I really recommend this office above all!
Luis was great! He had a soft touch. He was very nice & friendly. I ejoyed being with him and he did a great job.
I can’t recommend Dr. Eric Anderson and his team enough! I had a gum graft on 3–4 teeth, and after hearing so many horror stories about how painful the procedure can be—especially when the graft is taken from the roof of your mouth—I was honestly nervous. My experience couldn’t have been more different. I had absolutely no pain during the procedure or throughout my recovery. I carefully followed all of the post-op instructions, and everything healed exactly as expected with no complications. The most challenging part of the entire process was sticking to the soft-food diet, but I’d take that over dealing with pain any day. It’s now been over a year since my surgery, and my gums are healthier than ever. If you’re putting off a gum graft because you’re worried about the pain, don’t let that stop you. I would highly recommend Dr. Eric Anderson and his team to anyone needing a gum graft. They made what I expected to be a difficult experience surprisingly easy.
Very friendly, gentle,everyone 👍
I came in hoping to address some asymmetry in my smile before my wedding. Dr. Anderson was incredibly knowledgeable and immediately made me feel comfortable with his recommendation to proceed with a gingivectomy to create a more balanced appearance. He took the time to answer all of my questions, explain everything thoroughly, and made me feel confident in the process from the very beginning. From consultation to procedure, Ericka and Diondra were absolute gems—kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. They helped ease my nerves and made the experience feel more relaxed. The procedure was much easier than I anticipated, recovery was quick and smooth, and I’m very happy with my results so far. My smile already looks more symmetrical, and I feel much more confident heading into my wedding. Working in the cosmetic space myself, I’m very particular about the providers I trust, and Dr. Anderson exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Dr. Anderson and his team!
While the clinical care at this periodontics office appears competent, my overall experience fell noticeably short of the standard I’ve encountered in other specialty medical practices, primarily due to poor communication and planning. There was a consistent lack of clarity around costs, the reasoning behind those costs, and even the purpose of scheduled appointments or the overall treatment plan. This made it difficult to feel informed or prepared as a patient. Scheduling was also inconvenient and inefficient; for example, I was asked to take time off work for a postoperative appointment that lasted only a few minutes and then told on leaving that I needed a cleaning the following week; these two visits could have easily been coordinated into a single visit. Appointments felt rushed, and communication was minimal. The office staff, unfortunately, came across as unempathetic. The one apology I received felt perfunctory, and no meaningful efforts were made to resolve issues or improve the experience. Overall, the experience left me feeling more like a transaction than a patient receiving thoughtful, coordinated care. I ultimately decided to seek care with another provider and would suggest others take the time to explore multiple options, rather than (for example) relying solely on referrals, to find a practice that is a good fit clinically, as well as communication and care coordination wise.
I’ve been coming to this periodontics office for the past 6 years, and I truly can’t say enough good things about the care I’ve received. From the very beginning, the entire team has been professional, welcoming, and genuinely invested in my oral health. The improvement I’ve seen over the years has been incredible. What once felt overwhelming is now completely under control, thanks to their expertise, consistency, and personalized approach to treatment. A special shoutout to my dental hygienist, Olga—she is absolutely amazing. Her cleanings are the most thorough I’ve ever experienced, and she takes the time to explain everything she’s doing while making sure I’m comfortable the entire time. You can tell she truly cares about her patients and takes pride in her work. Although I get my cleanings done at my dentist’s office, I will always schedule additional cleanings with her jus to make sure things are done right. If you’re looking for a periodontics office that delivers real results with compassionate, high-quality care, I highly recommend this team. They’ve made a lasting difference in my health and confidence!
Overall, my experience with Aurora Periodontics and Implant Dentistry has been great so far. The staff are friendly and very nice. Dr. Pota Rakes is great and she answered all of my questions prior to my periodontal surgery. Dr. Rakes was helpful and nice through the whole evaluation process to the care provided during my surgery. I was put at ease about everything with my surgery and the level of care provided was outstanding. I would definitely recommend Aurora Periodontics and Implant Dentistry.
