I visited AFD for the first time to get a second opinion for two crowns and two cavities. Dr. Wong was very thorough compared to the dentist that made the original diagnosis. While she agreed with some, not all, of the original findings she also found a more serious problem that had been overlooked: another tooth with a large old filling was in need of a crown. I was able to get it done a few days later and the procedure was smooth except for a little difficulty fitting the temporary. That was resolved and everything is fine. No pain after the shot wore off, and Dr Wong called the next day to check on me. She is attentive, professional and caring. Good combination for a dentist. Her assistant Patrick was also very helpful. They worked well together. I’ll be back later for the rest of the work.

AFD have been my dentist for a dozen or more years, 20 I think. Nobody is a caring or gentle as Dr. Tucker and all his staff. They make all the trauma go away. If Jesus was a dentist he would work here. maybe he does?

The dentists and staff make such a huge difference in what could be an unpleasant experience. I have been a patient for years, even before Dr. Tucker. I can not imagine going anywhere else!

Amazing! Fast, comfortable and didn't break the bank. I hate dentists and I can safely say this was my best ever visit!

I had my teeth cleaned today. Austin Family Dentist always does a perfect job. They are the best and I would not go to any body else! You need to come try them!

UPDATE : Dr. Tucker followed up and I went back in to sand it down. Everything is good now, I never want to experience pain like that ever again. I'm still on the fence about returning for future cleanings, I may consider a different hygienist. Thank you to the staff for making things as right as possible. I went in for a routine cleaning. The enamel on the back of my front bottom tooth got chipped when the hygienist was using the high frequency vibrating tool. I almost jumped off the chair it hurt so bad! I mentioned it to the hygienist during the appointment and she said my tongue will adjust to the change. It was from past build up placque and tartar. She took pictures and showed it to me and I didn't understand how to prevent this in the future. Prevention : "Keep coming to get cleanings." I've been going religiously my entire life getting my two cleanings a year while taking all the advice for better teeth care. My tongue had been very bothered by it. I left a very detailed message and I hope to hear from someone. I've been going here for over 12 years and I've never had an experience like this. They are typically great.

Ive been using AFD for over ten years now and from the front desk, the hygienist, techs and dentists everyone is always very professional, nice and do great work. I just had a filling done with Dr. Sara and I was very nervous about getting dental work done again beyond a cleaning. She was very understanding, sensitive to the issue and explained every step of the way to make sure I was comfortable and the procedure went well. An awesome dentist office and an awesome dentist!

Dr Tucker and his entire staff are AMAZING. Most people hate to go to the dentist but somehow they always make it a pleasant experience (even if you’re getting more extensive work than a simple annual cleaning). The quality of the work is AAA++. I couldn’t be happier and you will be too!!

I hadn’t come back in 7 years because of losing insurance that covered my dental visits with this office. But as soon as I had insurance that covered me, I came back because I loved their services and outstanding dental work when I first was a patient in 2018. Came back today and had my cleaning with Ying who I absolutely am thankful for. I have small anxiety when I visit dentist offices and she always makes me feel comfortable. Dr Tucker is also a great. I highly recommend this team! 10s across the board!

Dr. Tucker is amazing! I had a dental emergency over the weekend and left a voicemail message — to my surprise, Dr. Tucker personally called me back to discuss my issue. He gave me helpful advice on what to do until the office reopened, which really put my mind at ease. Not many dentists would go out of their way to give a courtesy call like that, and I truly appreciated the care and attention. Customer service is clearly a top priority at this office — the entire staff is amazing!
