My husband, who is extremely terrified of dentists, had a dental emergency and we went here because of the reviews, the availability, and the location. The entire team was fantastic. Every single person, from the front desk to the assistants to the dentist himself, was empathetic, knowledgeable, and straightforward about the procedure and cost. We had an amazing experience and highly recommend this dentist office.

I've been going to this dental office for many years. I hope I never have to change dental hygienist. Roxy is the best. Roxy has fantastic hygienist skills. I do not like going to the dentist, as many people feel the same way. The only light at the end of the X-rays and cleaning is knowing Roxy will be more than efficient. Roxy rocks!

Always positive attitude, very calm and friendly conversations. Easily recognize they try to do thier best for the patients.

Dr. Zhang is very professional and has excellent work ethic. His fees are also very reasonable, and the reception staff are very warm and friendly. I lost two back teeth, which would normally require dental implants or dentures. However, based on my specific situation, Dr. Zhang recommended dental retainers, and the results have been excellent for over two years. This not only reduced my medical expenses but, more importantly, reduced the potential side effects and risks associated with implants or dentures. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Zhang. I have been receiving treatment here for over two years and have never had any conflicts or disputes with them regarding treatment or bills. Every time I come to his clinic, I feel at home; it's very welcoming and comfortable. ❤️

I’m someone who gets anxious just thinking about the dentist and needs days of mental prep before every visit. But my experience with Dr. Zhang was so much easier than I expected, from the front desk to the assistants, everyone was patient and gentle, and they explained each step before doing it, which really put me at ease. Dr. Zhang is also very skilled, the cleaning and filling were done carefully, and the extraction I was dreading most was over in about two minutes with barely any pain. For someone as dental-phobic as I am, finding a dentist and a team this patient and reassuring is honestly rare. Thank you so much to Dr. Zhang and everyone there! I truly recommend them to anyone who’s just as nervous about the dentist as I am.

Really pleasant cleaning. Roxy was very gentle and explained everything she was doing and explained all of my dental charts as well.

My first dental experience in CA, it was horrible ever. My doctor was Zhang Xuyu. He kept advertising deep clean but not caring my primary dental issue. After cleaned the right half side, I raised my concern about the major issue again. It turned out that he did not even understand the issue correctly. Still insist deep clean the other half first, and fix some other minor issues and take care of my main concern at the end. I guess he is just trying to make more money, this is ok, it’s a business, but being so evil like this is disgusting. I went for another dentist eventually, the new dentist is actually very nice, and he fixed my main issue right away, no push on deep clean or other stuff. Anyway, this is only my experience with Zhang. Not sure about other doctors at bay star.

I don’t trust this clinic. At my first visit, they started a regular cleaning but did not finish because my teeth were too sensitive. Even though the procedure was not completed, they still charged me the full amount. They also had me buy a mouth rinse for about $30 before the deep cleaning, but I only used it for a couple of days. It felt like a waste of money. At my next visit, they tried to sell me a night guard for $70. It felt more like marketing than patient care, so I declined. After my deep cleaning, I never returned. My son also had a cleaning appointment in December 2025. The regular cleaning for one side lasted only about 25 minutes. I was so surprised when he was done right away. I canceled his next appointment, which was scheduled for March 2026. My son has seen another dentist. During a visit in late May, the new dentist found five cavities that Bay Star Dental had not seen. Based on our experience, I do not recommend this dental office.

I have a patient here since 2021 and have only had positive experiences. If you are looking for a dental practice that makes sure you are comfortable from check in to check out and that takes ALL of your questions and concerns seriously, then I can't recommend Bay Star enough.
