Really pleasant cleaning. Roxy was very gentle and explained everything she was doing and explained all of my dental charts as well.

My first dental experience in CA, it was horrible ever. My doctor was Zhang Xuyu. He kept advertising deep clean but not caring my primary dental issue. After cleaned the right half side, I raised my concern about the major issue again. It turned out that he did not even understand the issue correctly. Still insist deep clean the other half first, and fix some other minor issues and take care of my main concern at the end. I guess he is just trying to make more money, this is ok, it’s a business, but being so evil like this is disgusting. I went for another dentist eventually, the new dentist is actually very nice, and he fixed my main issue right away, no push on deep clean or other stuff. Anyway, this is only my experience with Zhang. Not sure about other doctors at bay star.

I don’t trust this clinic. At my first visit, they started a regular cleaning but did not finish because my teeth were too sensitive. Even though the procedure was not completed, they still charged me the full amount. They also had me buy a mouth rinse for about $30 before the deep cleaning, but I only used it for a couple of days. It felt like a waste of money. At my next visit, they tried to sell me a night guard for $70. It felt more like marketing than patient care, so I declined. After my deep cleaning, I never returned. My son also had a cleaning appointment in December 2025. The regular cleaning for one side lasted only about 25 minutes. I was so surprised when he was done right away. I canceled his next appointment, which was scheduled for March 2026. My son has seen another dentist. During a visit in late May, the new dentist found five cavities that Bay Star Dental had not seen. Based on our experience, I do not recommend this dental office.

I have a patient here since 2021 and have only had positive experiences. If you are looking for a dental practice that makes sure you are comfortable from check in to check out and that takes ALL of your questions and concerns seriously, then I can't recommend Bay Star enough.

Dr. Zhang, his assistants, and front desk staff are all very professional and friendly. I was surprised that Dr. Zhang’s assistants noticed my favorite color, handed me the apron in my favorite color, and had me wear the goggles when lying down (to block the lights from the ceiling) ! :-) Dr. Zhang did a very quick and painless cleaning. He also showed me the pictures and explained the condition of my teeth before and after cleaning in a very effective way. Unlike some clinics that focus on doing business with patients, this clinic gives you exactly what you need rather than advertising their services. They only encourage you to schedule appointments for more urgent issues and leave the minor issues up to your decisions. The wait time for my appointment was only five minutes. Besides the service, the environment is cozy, modern, and relaxing! Highly recommended!

The team is honest, ethical, detailed oriented, , thoughtful, patient, and highly skilled, and I genuinely recommend them from the bottom of my heart. I first came to this clinic three years ago because of a dental emergency. Due to distance, I didn’t continue my follow-up visits afterward. However, when I needed dental treatment again three years later, Bay Star Dental was the very first place that came to my mind. Coming back after all this time, I was once again reminded of how consistent their care is. The overall experience and level of professionalism were just as reassuring as I remembered, and it was clear that their dedication to patients has never changed. From the moment I checked in, I felt welcomed. The front desk staff remembered my name and already knew exactly what I was there for. These small details may seem simple, but they make you feel respected and genuinely cared for, and that kind of warmth really stays with you. Dr. Zhang is incredibly patient and takes the time to clearly explain every step of the treatment process. He listens carefully to your concerns and truly considers things from the patient’s perspective. His attention to detail, calm approach, and genuine care reflect a high level of professionalism and empathy. I would also like to sincerely thank William, the Office Manager. He is someone who truly wants to help patients understand their options and feel at ease. He listens patiently, explains things clearly, and offers thoughtful, honest advice. His support made the entire experience much less stressful and far more reassuring. If you are looking for a dental clinic where you can receive high-quality treatment, respectful and clear communication, and feel genuinely supported, I truly believe Bay Star Dental is an excellent choice. Especially if you feel anxious about dental visits, this is a place where you will feel safe and cared for. I feel very fortunate to have found such a kind, professional, and trustworthy team.

Friendly staff, great service. Roxy is a fantastic hygienist. Dr. Zhang only does what he really thinks you need and what can wait. I appreciate that. They can make crowns in the office so no need to wait a week at other dentist office where they send it out.
