About Bayshore Dental Studio
Bayshore Dental Studio provides dental care on East Jackson Street in the Downtown area of Tampa, Florida. Dentures replace some or all of the natural teeth in a jaw with a removable appliance, custom-fitted to the mouth. A full denture replaces every tooth; a partial fills gaps where some natural teeth remain. Because the jaw bone reshapes over time, dentures typically need adjusting or remaking periodically.
Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.
A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.
Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.
Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.
Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost. Been using Bayshore and the Intelliscan 3D scanner for a few months now and honestly couldn't be happier. The scanner's been great, easy to use and the lab work that comes back fits really well saves us a ton of adjustment time. Turnaround is fast too, which makes a big difference day to day. The team has been super communicative and helpful with everything. Jeanne especially has been awesome with the training and answering all our questions. Definitely recommend them if you're looking for a solid lab and a good scanner.
Great lab to work with! Super helpful and very responsive!
Unbelievable, customer support, the best quality products in the market, elevate your dental lab experience at Bayshore Dental Studio!
So far their Bayflex line has been fantastic. Looking forward to more successful cases.
I have been using Bayshore Dental Lab for several years. They make beautiful flexible partials that fit great . Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.
Bayshore has been amazing, excellent quality and finish. Truly enjoy working with them to provide wonderful prosthetics for my patients!
Starts off well (a trick using their better techs) and then they switch you to an entry level tech. Quality/fit goes from good to absolutely terrible. Tear your hair out terrible. I have a 475 dollar credit, which will NEVER be used. Why not? because it is worth nothing. Avoid this lab. Simple things like implant crown contacts are done hopelessly wrong. Crown contacts on your own models should be tight enough to floss, but not so tight as to break floss. The model should match the patient, thus having a properly fitting crown. If you cannot floss the case on the model, why are you sending me the case? It is a joke. Avoid like the plague.
I do not typically write 1-star reviews for small businesses, as I always hope that any issue we encounter is simply a one-off situation. However, we have experienced multiple recurring problems with Bayshore Lab that we feel are important to share. We have had several cases involving partials that did not fit properly, even after following all warranty requirements, including completing the teeth try-in phase. When we asked about the possibility of lab-related factors—such as printing distortion—our concerns were quickly dismissed. When a technician suggested that the issue might be with our scan, we explained respectfully that we rely on the lab’s expertise to identify such issues and request a rescan if needed. Clear, proactive communication is essential, and being charged multiple times for the same stage without proper guidance places unnecessary strain on practices trying to maintain a high standard of care. When we asked why a case would not be remade under warranty if the product did not fit—despite us following all required steps—we were told by a representative, “We are a business. We would lose money to remake cases for free.” As a small business ourselves, we understand the importance of financial sustainability. However, we routinely remake cases when something is not up to our standards because our priority is patient care. Ensuring patients leave happy, comfortable, and well cared for is core to our values, so hearing this response was disappointing. We have also had issues with the fragility of their try-in materials, which often break down before evaluation, and with metal frameworks that do not fit despite our providing accurate, high-quality scans. Communication has been another challenge. We were told that a case would be reviewed and that we would receive an update by November 12. After multiple follow-up calls, we did not receive a response until November 18. This left both our patient and our office waiting unnecessarily and placed us in a difficult position. We truly value partnerships with labs that take pride in their craftsmanship, communicate clearly, and stand behind their products. Unfortunately, our experience did not reflect these qualities, and for that reason, we will no longer be sending cases to this lab.
Amazing lab, delivery of cases way before requested date. Insanely good communication between picking up the phones and follow up cases. Shoutout to Moses the tech and Elena front desk.
