Smyleee Rating
Good
Beautiful Smiles DC is located at Suite 103, 2021 K Street Northwest in Washington DC's 20006 zip code — K Street in the Dupont Circle and West End corridor. K Street NW is one of Washington DC's most iconic commercial corridors, long associated with lobbyists, law firms, and the professional power infrastructure of the nation's capital. Note that Chevy Chase Implant and Oral Surgery (ID 3045) is also in the 2021 K Street NW building at Suite 317, making this address a multi-specialty dental building in the heart of the K Street corridor.
The "Beautiful Smiles DC" name anchors the practice in aesthetic dentistry — the services that improve not just dental health but the appearance of the smile that patients present to the world. In a city where professional appearance and presentation carry significant weight, aesthetic dental services have an active market across the professional and political communities that define the DC workforce. Services at this practice cover the standard general scope and extend into the cosmetic range, with teeth whitening, bonding, veneers, and aesthetic crown placement among the enhancements a Beautiful Smiles positioning typically implies.
K Street's 2021 building serves a patient base of attorneys, lobbyists, government contractors, consultants, and other professionals who work in the corridor and value convenient, high-quality dental care accessible from the office. The proximity to Dupont Circle and Farragut North Metro stations makes the practice accessible from across the DC Metro system for non-walking patients as well.
Suite 103 at 2021 K Street NW is accessible from the K Street corridor, the Farragut North and Dupont Circle Metro stations, and the surrounding Northwest DC street network. For DC patients on K Street and in the surrounding Dupont Circle and West End neighborhoods who want a dental practice with an aesthetic focus and general care, Beautiful Smiles DC at Suite 103 provides that combination in one of the city's most prominent professional buildings.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE!!!! PLEASE AVOID!!!!! 1. They do an excessive amount of x-rays. I’m not the most concerned about it, but it was around 12 pictures easily. 2. They said that I had no cavities without doing a cleaning. After getting a second opinion, I did. 3. They said that my teeth needed a deep clean. After having a second opinion from another dentist, they said that was inappropriate and unnecessary 4. The deep clean charge was going to be a minimum of 450$ out of pocket. They refused to clean my teeth at all unless the claim was approved. We tried to get the claim approved. It was rejected. I wound up going somewhere else! 5. I received a bill for 450$ on 2/20/2026 for a visit that occurred on 1/20/2025. They sent the bill at 5:07 pm, so that I wouldn’t be able to call them shortly after receiving the bill. The funny thing is that I only went to this office in 2/2023. 6. I just got off the phone with my insurance company, and there was a record of only one appointment with this practice from 2/2023. The EOB says not only were they paid, but that I owed nothing. 7. Honestly, it’s just lazy bc they should have my medical records and should be able to verify what I received and I didn’t receive. I am so glad that I saved that email thread going back and forth over coverage. It also has the front desk person explaining that it has to be a deep clean. TLDR; don’t go to this practice despite the convenient location because of their shady billing practices
Excellent in every regard. Dr. Vahid is hands down the best in D.C. I had a fairly serious infection that required extraction and grafting, and I didn’t even feel the tooth come out—I was on my way home before I knew it. I was also amazed by how easy the recovery was: little to no pain and absolutely no swelling. The entire staff was kind, extremely helpful, and completely transparent about payment and insurance. I hope you never need the kind of work I did, but if you do, Beautiful Smiles is the place to go.
Shabnam was excellent. I had not been to the dentist in over 9 years and needless to say I needed a deep cleaning. Shabnam was so reassuring, comforting and kind. Her gentle touch really made the experience that much more bearable. She always checked in with me to see if I was good. And she was keen to explain what she was doing before she did it. To top it off before we got started she gave me her banana to ensure I had something on my stomach during the procedure. Thank you Shabnam for a great experience. I will definitely be back (in 3 mos. not 9 years).
DO NOT GO HERE. I had my original review set to 5 stars because I thought everyone who worked here was sweet and up front about pricing. Boy, was I wrong. They just sent me a bill today for $640 for fillings that “occurred” on February 4th, 2025. Best part is, my appointment was on April 4th, 2025. Couldn’t even get the dates right. Then, they tried to gaslight me into thinking that I signed a treatment plan for this, but after reviewing this document - the total patient responsibility said $264 and had dates on it from 2023-2024. It took you over a year to file a claim AND for the wrong amount? And to make things even worse, I DID in fact pay $316 on 4/4, so we argued for a while back and forth until I sent her all my evidence for review. Been silent ever since. The office manager is horribly rude. She threatened to report me for fraud for updating my review which made me LOLLL. So unless you want random bills sent to you years later - AVOID! Read all the negative reviews because they are all 100% correct. They will tell you one thing and charge you another. Update: they just called me to confirm I was right about everything. I owe $130. Funny how that works.
I feel completely scammed by Beautiful Smiles. I came in with a history of braces, hoping to close my front gap with Invisalign. I was pre-approved and shown a payment plan that said my insurance would cover most of the cost. Months into treatment, I was told I now owe over $9,000, far above the typical $5-7K and nothing like what I agreed to. I have filed a complaint with the OAG because this experience aligns with what other reviewers have warned about. I reached out multiple times by email, yet they refuse to respond in writing and insist on handling everything only in person. This leaves no paper trail and feels intentional. Their behavior appears predatory and misleading, trapping patients once treatment has already begun. I cannot recommend this practice to anyone.
