About Benefit Dental Care 2

Benefit Dental Care 2 is a dental practice on Benefit Street in the College Hill area of Providence, Rhode Island. A dental implant replaces a missing tooth at the root, not just the crown — a small titanium post is placed in the jaw bone and, once it has integrated over a period of months, a replacement tooth is attached to it. It is generally the most durable option for a single missing tooth or several.

A crown covers an entire damaged tooth — used when too much structure is missing for a filling to hold reliably, whether from a large fracture, extensive decay, or after root canal treatment. It restores both the shape and the biting strength of the tooth underneath.

A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring a false tooth to crowns placed on the teeth either side of the gap, creating a fixed replacement rather than a removable one. It is a longstanding alternative to an implant, particularly when the neighbouring teeth already need crowns.

Sedation dentistry uses inhaled, oral, or intravenous options to help patients relax through treatment, ranging from nitrous oxide for mild anxiety through to deeper sedation for longer or more involved procedures. It is commonly used for patients who have avoided the dentist for years due to fear.

Professional teeth whitening uses a peroxide-based gel, applied under supervision at a strength stronger than anything sold over the counter, to lift years of staining from coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco. It works on natural enamel only — existing crowns, veneers, and fillings keep whatever shade they were made in.

At the core of a general dental practice is preventive and restorative care: checkups, professional cleanings, fillings, and screening for decay and gum disease before either becomes a bigger problem. It is the kind of appointment most people need on a routine schedule rather than only when something hurts. I came to Benefit Dental Care for a second opinion. The waiting area and exam rooms were immaculate. The front desk staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The dental assistant was efficient and pleasant. The dentist presented me with all of my options and then made a clear plan of action. I decided to stay with Benefit Dental Care.

Dr. Kim is amazing! She did several fillings for me, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. She’s so kind, patient, and really takes the time to explain everything, which made me feel very comfortable. You can tell she genuinely cares about her patients. The whole clinic is great too! The assistants are friendly and everything from check-in to appointments runs very smoothly.

I had an amazing experience at Benefit Dental Care! I recently got veneers done and couldn’t be happier with the results, my smile looks beautiful and natural and I feel so much more confident. A special thank you to Dr. Hashem Shehadeh for his professionalism, attention to detail and care throughout the entire process. He truly takes pride in his work and it shows in the results. I highly recommend Benefit Dental to anyone considering cosmetic dental work!

Dr. Kim is an excellent dentist and I truly appreciate the quality of care she provides. She is knowledgeable, attentive, and makes me feel confident about my dental care. The dental assistants and clinical staff are also kind and helpful, which makes the appointments themselves a positive experience. Unfortunately, the front desk experience has consistently been very unpleasant. The receptionists often sound annoyed when answering the phone, as though taking calls is an inconvenience. In person, check-in can feel equally uncomfortable. They rarely look up from the computer or acknowledge patients in a welcoming way. For many people, going to the dentist is already stressful, and the front desk interactions tend to make that stress worse rather than better. It’s frustrating because the clinical care here is genuinely five-star. If the front desk experience matched the level of professionalism and kindness shown by Dr. Kim and the rest of the staff, this would easily be a five-star office.

I have been a patient of Benefit Dental for a few years. My 2026 experience is as good as my 2023. I am very satisfied with my across the board dental experience, and I recommend them. Kind, courteous, and highly professional.

To be clear, the three stars are only due to the fact that the owners prefer automation over real people for phone calls I find the staff they are fabulous and I have no complaints what so ever However, when I need to call the office, I do not have the time to be given prompts to get to the next prompt to get to the next prompt. I want to speak with a live human being. It will take half the time- I do not want an automated computerized system
