About Bloom Pediatric Dentistry

Bloom Pediatric Dentistry operates on West Germann Road in Chandler, Arizona. Pediatric dental care is built around treating children specifically — dentists with additional training in child development and behaviour management, and offices designed to make a first visit unintimidating. Guidance generally points to a child's first dental visit around age one or within six months of the first tooth.

Sedation dentistry uses inhaled, oral, or intravenous options to help patients relax through treatment, ranging from nitrous oxide for mild anxiety through to deeper sedation for longer or more involved procedures. It is commonly used for patients who have avoided the dentist for years due to fear.

Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. We had a wonderful experience at Bloom. It was very kid friendly and clean. All the employees were friendly. Dr Mindi did a fantastic job of explaining what she was doing. She provided additional resources that were needed. I would highly recommend Bloom for all pediatric dental needs!

I've never seen a team of dental professionals make my son's experience so comfortable. Dr. D'Elia and her team are patient, kind, proficient, and care for the whole child instead of sticking with a one-size-fits-all approach. We are so grateful to have found Bloom, and wholeheartedly recommend this practice to any family. If I could give 10 stars, I would!

I’m typically not one to publicly call out a business or professional - as shown by the fact that this happened to us about 2 years ago, and I just kept my mouth shut and went on with our lives. However seeing that this dentist now has a practice that’s whole business model is about being inclusive and helpful to children with special needs I felt I should speak up. So I commented on one of the TikTok’s posted by the owner Dr Mindi….. I was very quickly blocked on TikTok- no response or conversation. That’s a big red flag that ultimately pushed me to make sure my experience isn’t silenced and that people are aware of our “special needs friendly” experience. You can see the original comment I left on TikTok in the picture- but Basically I told the dentist that we had issues in the past with bad gagging during dental work and having 4 teeth pulled might be an issue. She assured me it would be fine- but then had zero compassion or patience when it was time to actually do it. She was rude and harsh with my daughter who was doing her best. She was condescending to me and made us feel like we were a burden and like she had better things to do than deal with us. I would never recommend taking your child to see her, let alone your special needs child.

My kiddo has been going to Bloom for about four years - initially under Dr Lee. Let me tell you- I've never met anyone, especially a child, who wants to go to the dentist! I mean she literally asks me when is her next appointment and anytime we are in the area she'll point out and proudly say this place is her dentisit. I will admit when Dr Lee said she was leaving I was devastated and worried who will replace her. I initially met Dr Mindi, who replaced Dr Lee, at a event at my kids school. I was immediately impressed that the doctor was there because normally at these events I expect to see other representatives of a business not the doctor. I think this speaks volumes. She was immediately really kind and welcoming which made me feel much better about our upcoming visit. The next visit felt just like it normally would when Dr Lee was there. All the office staff, assistants, etc were welcoming and kind as well - didnt miss a beat. I never felt any red flag. As always, it felt like my kid is in good hands. Dr Mindi gives me the feeling that she is still concerned of my child's care and will answer any questions I would have. With that being said, the many recent negative reviews I've seen is absolutely not what I experienced and quiet surprising for me to read I'd like to add, my kiddo still looks forward to her dentist appointments.

Bloom Pediatric Dentistry is absolutely amazing with my children. My kids are never scared to be seen now because they know they’ll be met with friendly faces and get a kid friendly explanation of everything that’s happening throughout their appointment. The front desk is super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. So grateful we found Bloom - worth the 45 min drive for us!!

My only complaint is nobody telling me about this dentist sooner!!! My child had a very hard time at our prior dentist and has done so much better here. And I'm actually excited to come in with her because everyone from those at the front desk to the hygienists to the dentist- wonderful! Highly recommend taking your kids here, you won't regret it

🚩 AVOID THIS PLACE WITH NEW DR 🚩 I took my daughter to Bloom as a recommendation from our orthodontist - who I believe was still under the impression Dr Lee still ran the place. Dr Mindi has now taken over and I have warned everyone I know to avoid this place. My daughter went in as a new a patient, we did X-rays, a check up & a clean. Dr Mindi told me my daughter had SIX cavities that needed to be filled and to proceed to the front desk to book the appt. I was shocked at first but the nurse told me it’s common for children with braces to get new cavities. Once we got to the front desk to book the appointments & pay the $75 deposit, the nurse said to me (right infront of my daughter who was standing beside me) “Don’t tell her about the injections.” Of course my daughter heard & was immediately filled with a sense of panic & anxiety regarding the upcoming appointment. I had a bad feeling leaving the office and my daughter cried all the journey home (SO unlike her she takes everything in her stride usually). Decided to go with my gut and get a second opinion. I booked an appt with another family dentist for the following week. The Dr looked at the X-rays and did a thorough exam & confirmed she doesn’t have 6 cavities - she has ONE and the new Dr said it’s not urgent and it was up to us if we want to fill it or not. Clearly Dr Mindi is trying to make as much $$$ as she can through unnecessary dental work on children - just hoping that the parents go against their own better judgement. Please go elsewhere for your kids - they deserve better. 🚩 Read all the other reviews regarding Dr Mindi misdiagnosing kids & trying to fill cavities which aren’t there 🚩🚩

This would have been 5 stars had ownership not changed. We were so excited to see Dr Lee but there was a waitlist. By the time we got the our appointment date, Dr Lee had sold the practice to Dr Mindi. We decided to keep our appointment and I took all 4 of my kids to see her. I did not feel heard at all. Dr Mindi was incredibly arrogant and scoffed at my questions regarding her suggested treatment plan. When parents question providers and they scoff at you, it’s time to find someone else. They are supposed to make suggestions and work as a team with parents. She claimed my kids had a ridiculous amount of cavities and when I took them for a second opinion elsewhere, we got different findings. Also, they won’t let you stay in the room with your child during treatment. As the parent, you have every right to stay with your minor child. I have heard countless stories from other moms who had similar experiences and our orthodontist has even heard negative reviews since Dr Mindi took over Bloom. Parents need to know what they are getting into if they see her. Lastly, she does not believe in airway dentistry which is key in the root causes of what’s going on with a patient. Do your research. Don’t be fooled.

Absolutely amazing pediatric dentistry! I called before they even opened because I was anxious and nervous for my toddler. They went above and beyond to get us in right away and took care of everything with so much compassion. From the moment we walked in, every single person who interacted with my toddler was friendly, gentle, patient, and incredibly kind. My little one actually loves going to the dentist now, and that says everything! Dr. Mindi was absolutely wonderful, you can tell she genuinely cares about her tiny patients. The level of care, warmth, and professionalism here is something I’ve never experienced at any dentistry before. I’m so grateful we found this office. Highly, highly recommend!
