I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Barker over a year ago and I honestly had no issues whatsoever with the procedure or the office itself. The receptionist was so friendly and helpful with explaining the costs to me prior to my surgery. It was clear what my portion of the payment would be, which I thought was a very reasonable cost. My surgery was easy and totally painless! I was so scared to have this surgery done (it was my first surgery ever), but everyone put me at ease. The nurses who took me back was very caring and made sure I was comfortable. I was feeling back to normal the very next day and was able to go on with my daily activities. The receptionist (Nancy?) even called me the next day to see how I was feeling. Very genuine people working here. I would recommend this office to anyone who is looking to have their wisdom teeth removed!
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this practice. Myself and my husband both have had our wisdom teeth extracted here. My procedure was in 2013 and my husband earlier this week. The office staff and Dr. Barker are friendly and helpful. Both procedures were smooth and neither one of us had any swelling or complications.Recovery was much quicker than anticipated. I highly recommend Bluegrass Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery!
Dr. Barker & his staff are friendly, helpful and topnotch. My teen's wisdom teeth extraction went very smoothly, with no complications, and her recovery was brief and uneventful. I will be taking my younger teen for wisdom teeth extraction when the time comes.
Dr. Barker’s office and staff has been truly amazing! They have the kindest and most thoughtful staff. I had 0 complications from my wisdom tooth removal here!
Upon expressing that I wanted to know cost prior to seeing the doctor I received no feedback from Receptionist Nancy other than the Doctor would give me an estimate. After consulting with my insurance provider, post office visit, I found Dr Barker's office had more than likely over charged me. All potential patients should also be aware of a covid19 charge for what I am assuming is for cleaning & disinfecting the office, something they should already be practicing. I requested an itemized invoice listing all charges to me and what was charged to my insurance. I asked for email copies. I requested the email address for the office, as it is not listed on thier website. Nancy stated she does not know any of thier email addresses, furthering her statement claiming the requested info would be sent to me. I was not provided with an invoice at the office upon paying. They have not sent the requested documents via email. All of this is very unprofessional. My insurance offers a 25% discount for in network specialists. Dr. Barker is within my network. I was shocked with the estimate provided to me after they had taken x-rays and I had consulted with the Doctor. They had extremely high fees and only extended a 20% discount for my insurance. I was charged $140 for 1 x-ray and consultation. I was referred to this Doctor by my Dentist. It is law that Doctors post thier fees. This office does not do that. They are not upfront about costs, and do not fully honor insurance coverage. You have the right to shop around for x-rays, and medical treatment. This office has very high fees and I encourage anyone in need of the services offered by this establishment to shop around before going to this Doctor.
