About Boston Medical Center

Boston Medical Center is an academic medical centre located at 1 Boston Medical Center Place in the South End neighbourhood of Boston, Massachusetts. Boston Medical Center serves a diverse patient population including a significant proportion of patients who rely on public insurance programmes such as Medicaid. Dental services within this system serve patients who may have limited access to care through private dental practices.

Boston Medical Center Place is located in the South End, adjacent to the BU Medical Campus and the Massachusetts Avenue and Albany Street corridors. The facility is accessible from the MBTA Orange Line at Massachusetts Avenue and from bus routes serving the South End and Roxbury. The South End is a central Boston neighbourhood with a dense mix of residential and institutional activity.

The receptionists at this facility are unprofessional and lack a ridiculous amount of common knowledge for the job. A patient should not have to call for a month straight to just now find out that they're not accepting new patients. No assistance, no guidance, One of the receptionists Cheryl was exceptionally rude and unhelpful. Maybe the medical care is great but the process of becoming a patient is ridiculous.

Visited my elderly sister at BMC last week. She was admitted to the medical surgery unit at the Menino Pavilion. The entire medical team, nurses, social worker and the Case Manager were entremely professional and showed compassion and empathy towards the patients. The state of MA is known for its good healthcare but Boston Medical Centre has taken it to a higher level. Bravo!!

I was with my wife during labor, all night no one provided me with linens to sleep / pillow to rest my head. Carrie smith did provided me with linens / pillows next morning . She actually made my bed so I could rest. Thank u Carie. May God bless you

I have been getting my medical care at Boston Medical Center for about five years and never had a bad experience with my treatments, medical providers, or getting prescriptions filled at Shapiro Pharmacy. This is a well managed Medical facility with staff that's absolutely professional and dedicated. I will suggest this hospital for anyone seeking medical care.

I had a successful valve replacement performed by Dr. Morgan Harloff, an exceptional cardiothoracic surgeon. From the very beginning, he was compassionate, thorough, and took the time to clearly explain every possible option and outcome. During my hospital stay, he checked on me daily, which meant a great deal and provided reassurance throughout the process. The nursing staff and aides were equally wonderful—consistently attentive, kind, and supportive. Their care made a challenging experience much more manageable. After meeting with several surgeons at major Boston hospitals, I feel incredibly fortunate to have been under Dr. Harloff’s care, thanks in part to my cardiologist, Dr. Gary Balady, who is also outstanding—caring, compassionate, and exceptionally thorough. I am deeply grateful for the care I received. If you are in need of aortic valve surgery or any related cardiothoracic procedure, I highly recommend meeting with Dr. Harloff. Forever grateful, Pat

I recently had a really positive experience with Dr. Eliot Binkerd and am very glad I found him. He is an excellent physician who is thoughtful, clear, and genuinely easy to talk to. From the moment I met Dr. Binkerd, I felt comfortable and confident in his care. He took the time to listen carefully, explain things in a way that was easy to understand, and answer all of my questions without ever making me feel rushed. I have a complex medical situation, and I was especially impressed by how attentive and thorough Dr. Binkerd was throughout the visit. He approached everything in a very thoughtful and reassuring way, which made a big difference. I left the appointment feeling very well cared for and confident about the plan moving forward. It’s clear that Dr. Binkerd truly cares about his patients and takes the time to provide excellent care. I would highly recommend Dr. Binkerd to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and attentive physician.
