About Bradley & Partners Dental Practice

Bradley & Partners Dental Practice is a dental practice on Saint Peter's Lane in Canterbury, England. A dental implant replaces a missing tooth at the root, not just the crown — a small titanium post is placed in the jaw bone and, once it has integrated over a period of months, a replacement tooth is attached to it. It is generally the most durable option for a single missing tooth or several.

A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.

Cosmetic dentistry covers treatment aimed primarily at appearance — whitening, veneers, bonding, and reshaping among the more common options — for patients who are less concerned with a problem that hurts than with how their smile looks day to day. The right combination depends on what specifically you would like to change.

Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.

A crown covers an entire damaged tooth — used when too much structure is missing for a filling to hold reliably, whether from a large fracture, extensive decay, or after root canal treatment. It restores both the shape and the biting strength of the tooth underneath.

A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring a false tooth to crowns placed on the teeth either side of the gap, creating a fixed replacement rather than a removable one. It is a longstanding alternative to an implant, particularly when the neighbouring teeth already need crowns. Writing I recently completed a full mouth dental implant treatment at Bradley and Partners Dental Practice in Canterbury, Kent, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with my experience. From start to finish, Nadeem was absolutely incredible. Over the three-month period while I was waiting for my permanent teeth, he supported me every step of the way. I was seen regularly, and he always took the time to reassure me and put my mind at ease. His professionalism, skill, and genuine care made such a difference throughout the entire process. A special mention also goes to his nurse, Hannah, who was equally amazing. She was kind, attentive, and made every visit feel comfortable and stress-free. The final result has completely exceeded my expectations. I now have a beautiful smile, and I genuinely can’t thank Nadeem enough for what he has done for me. If you’re considering dental implants, I would highly recommend this practice — you’ll be in the best hands.

I have been a customer for ten years. During that time, I have always been completely satisfied with the service I have received. Apparently, my teeth are in good enough condition to only require an annual check up - as suggested by Lucy and thus saving me a significant amount of money. I consider myself fortunate to have Lucy as my regular dentist. She inspires confidence as she fully explains any issues I might have and what my options are. Lucy is also a very personable lady. I really hope that she does not leave. I will be forever grateful for Lucy's emergency help when I had an abscess under a tooth over Christmas in 2024. I do not know what I would have done without her. Thanks to an old football injury, I recently had to have an implant and was treated by Nadim and Hannah. Once again, I have only good things to say. All was explained in detail and Nadim also inspires confidence and like Lucy, helped me to relax as I am somewhat nervous when receiving dental work. Also, like Lucy, I found Nadim to be a very personable chap. My implant is now fully completed and I am more than happy with the result. A word for the receptionists too. Polite, friendly and efficient. They should train the receptionists at my doctor's.

I can Highly Recommend this dental practice as I have been a patient for many years and have always received excellent care…My first appointment was in 1976….My dentist Lucy and dental nurse Fiona are lovely and always cheerful and chatty and make me feel at ease and less nervous ..I have always had a problem with dentists because being a child of the 60s school dentist and I’m sure someone reading this would remember after one visit you were frightened for life and never wanted to go back ….But now I look forward to my next appointment

Dr. Costa is the doctor I wish everyone meets. He is very very good with his job and he always works with you not just on you. He's the true definition of a doctor who treats the patient not the condition.

I am amending this review upon request from B&P who have sent me a letter as they "do not believe it warrants a 1 star review" and state the account I have given is "inaccurate". Personally I find the nature of the letter one of poor taste with undertones such as "should the review remain we will be compelled to seek legal advice". Below is a more in-depth account of exactly what happened. I've been using the practice for years but mostly for their hygienist, Marik - my teeth are checked regularly by my sister once a year when I visit her. That day I woke up with a debilitating pain on a crowned tooth and as my sister lives in another country, I went to B&P with the aim to get an Xray and compare it with the one my sister had of that tooth a year ago to see any changes. I explained the situation and the receptionist kindly agreed they could do that and booked me for the afternoon. 15 minutes before my appointment while I was on my way there, I received a phone call and a lady telling me that they can't do the Xray because I haven't been using their dentist for a while and I'm not registered with them. I was puzzled at that, because not only myself but also 3 other members of my family use their practice. I tried on the phone to explain how much pain I was in but she was adamant that I had to book a consultation the week after and that was that. The lady's tone was cold and hurried, no understanding at all. I've wasted all morning in pain and now I had to find a new practice. A friend suggested one and I rung them. They immediately understood my pain and situation, slotted me in and agreed on an X -ray that took place within an hour. They explained clearly that the X-ray would be followed by a short consultation to read it, which of course I expected and agreed. The experience showed me how people-oriented, kind and understanding that practice was. I booked my treatments immediately with them. I felt quite disappointed at how B&P conducted themselves that morning, particularly when they saw me in such pain. They came across as abrupt, inflexible, uncaring. I would have no problem paying for a consultation of the Xray if they worried that I would only pay for the X ray. The phone call suggested to me that getting the full cost of a new member's consultation was their aim that morning, not trying to sort out my pain. The clear difference between the two practices highlights how important it is that customer service is people-oriented, rather than business-oriented. Manners matter. I wrote the initial review in agony - the same day. I gave it a 1 * maybe because I felt so let down. But after they sent me that letter, I gladly keep that 1* not only for their customer service but also for their terrible attitude.

I can't understand how anyone would leave a negative review for this practice. It doesn't look or feel like any dental surgery I have seen; it feels like stepping into a grand, stately home and the staff are so welcoming and cheerful it immediately put me at ease. I have been coming here since I was a kid, and although I have a regular dentist (Dr Lucy), for specialist work I have met several other dentists and I have been immensely satisfied with everyone . The price you pay is well worth what you receive in treatment, and are no more expensive than anywhere else with such quality.
