About Brent A. Spear, DDS

Brent A. Spear, DDS provides dental care on Park Hill Drive in the Frisco Heights area of Fort Worth, Texas. Cosmetic treatment is generally the least invasive branch of dentistry, built around changing how teeth look rather than fixing something broken. Whitening and bonding sit at the lighter end; veneers and reshaping involve more planning. Most cosmetic dental insurance excludes this kind of work, since it is elective rather than medically necessary.

Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.

Professional teeth whitening uses a peroxide-based gel, applied under supervision at a strength stronger than anything sold over the counter, to lift years of staining from coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco. It works on natural enamel only — existing crowns, veneers, and fillings keep whatever shade they were made in.

General dentistry covers the routine and restorative care most people need most often — examinations, cleanings, fillings, and preventive checks that catch problems while they are still small and inexpensive to treat. Regular attendance, roughly every six months for most patients, is what makes that early-catch approach actually work.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit. You can reach Brent A. Great staff- office staff, hygienists, DDS’s, DDS techs…. Everyone is easy going and very helpful. Absolutely no hard sales tactics to “encourage” you do get other work done. They do what you need and take care of you. Been going to Spear’s DDS for years and has been the best DDS experience. Happy that his business is growing and he is bringing on help.

I have been going to the building that Dr. Spears is located for fifty years. The first dentist I went to was Dr. Garnett. After he retired there has been several other dentist to follow him, but none of them ever compared to him. Although, I have to say Dr. Brent Spears is one who is right up there with what I call a good dentist. His office staff is also great. I have seen Brenda, the hygienist for sixteen years and she is the best. I would give them a ten out of ten.

Of all the dentists I’ve had for over 50 years, none come close to the skill and compassion Dr Spears and his staff deliver to their patients. Every decision and recommendation for service is based wholly on the individual with a level of care rarely seen. Personally as a healthcare worker myself I appreciate the competency, attention to detail and overall care provided to my family and I. I’m sure there are many great Dentists in the DFW area, but if you’re in the TCU or Fort Worth Medical district, you should absolutely go to Dr Spears.

Great experience!! I have some anxiety about dentists, and Dr. Spear and Brenda both put me completely at ease. Brenda was so thorough and kind during my teeth cleaning. And SKILLED - I didn't even need any numbing, though she regularly checked which was appreciated. The consult with Dr. Spear was great. He was gentle and seemed genuinely interested in helping me improve my smile (but with no pressure sells, which means a lot to me).

Dr. Spears and his entire team are absolutely amazing! My son had all four of his wisdom teeth removed, and they took such great care of him from start to finish. They made the whole process smooth and reassuring, and their kindness and professionalism meant so much to us. They were also available after surgery to answer any questions, which gave us real peace of mind. We are so grateful for the excellent care and highly recommend Dr. Spears and his team!

As a new patient, I’m impressed with the quality of care I’ve received. Today I had an initial exam with x-rays and both Dr. Spear and his Assistant were very thorough explaining the procedures and outcome. Previously, I had an earlier appointment to repair a small chip. That experience was equally good. I would highly recommend Dr. Spear’s practice and give his friendly staff two thumbs up!

I’m grateful my son recommended Dr. Spears! We recently moved to Fort Worth from out of state, and finding a great dentist was a major concern. We went with our son to his appointment, and after meeting the staff and Dr. Spears, we decided to schedule with him. Dr. Spears is knowledgeable, gentle, and kind and the entire staff replicate his professionalism. Everyone is friendly and engaging, and they made me feel right at home. Brenda, my hygienist, also restored my teeth to the best state of clean and shiny than they have been in years! And, if you’re looking for a great dentist who is honest and not looking to do unnecessary procedures for his benefit, go and check them out. You will be grateful!
