About Brush32 of South Lamar
Brush32 of South Lamar (now operating under the Ideal Dental brand) is a multi-service practice on South Lamar Boulevard in South Austin (78704), part of a network with over 150 locations across the country. The clinic combines general dentistry with in-house orthodontic, oral surgery, and cosmetic work — so a family that comes in for routine cleanings can also handle the kids' braces or a parent's wisdom teeth without referrals to other offices. The South Lamar location puts the clinic close to the South Congress neighborhood and the Zilker / Bouldin Creek area.
For preventative care, the team runs routine cleanings, exams, and the maintenance work most patients return for over years. Restorative and cosmetic work covers porcelain veneers, dental crowns, dental implants, and the broader smile-shaping projects patients add over time. Orthodontic treatment is available as traditional braces or Invisalign clear aligners, with the consultation walking through which option fits each patient's bite and timeline. Sedation dentistry is offered for longer or more invasive procedures, particularly during oral surgery, and emergency dental care has its own scheduling slot for sudden tooth pain.
If you want a South Lamar practice with multi-specialty care under one roof and the option of Saturday visits for tight schedules, this fits.
The 24/7 online scheduling makes booking straightforward, and the practice operates six days a week including Saturday for patients who cannot easily get to weekday appointments. Most major dental insurance plans are accepted, and the front desk walks through the cost picture for cosmetic and orthodontic treatment plans before any work begins. Searches that bring patients here include family dentist near South Lamar Austin, Saturday dental appointments in 78704, sedation dentistry for oral surgery, Invisalign clear aligners in South Austin, emergency dentist near South Congress Austin, and braces for teens and adults in South Lamar. The practice suits patients who want extended hours, the consistency of a multi-office network, and a one-stop location for general, cosmetic, and orthodontic dental work.

Invisalign straightens teeth with a series of clear, removable aligners — a discreet alternative to braces for adults and teens.
Braces
Traditional braces use fixed brackets and wires to correct crowding, gaps, and bite problems across a wide range of cases.
Dental Implants

Veneers
Porcelain veneers are thin, custom shells bonded to the front of the teeth to address chips, gaps, and discoloration as part of a smile plan.

Dr Heema Patel was very sweet. I am afraid of the dentist and she made it as quick and painless as possible. Thank you.
They tried to SCAM me into a very expensive risky and painful procedure that I didn't need! I was told I needed a root canal and crown in at least one tooth. They never even gave me an exam just took an x ray and decided I needed to spend thousands of dollars. Good thing I went down to the university of Texas San Antonio dental school 5 days later for a second opinion. The dental school did a list of physical tests on my tooth in addition to x rays plus asked me lots of questions and their opinion was that my pain was probably from a sinus infection because there was nothing wrong with my tooth at all. Had a great first experience. Friendly, fast, efficient. Also payment plans make it more accessible and I appreciate that. Thank you!
I was put through an absolutely gruesome procedure today that no ethical practice should ever perform without anesthetics. It takes a special level of callousness (if not outright sadism) to be perfectly okay with sawing through a human being's gums with a coarse file over and over for thirty plus minutes without so much as a topical numbing gel or a heads up to take some ibuprofen beforehand. (No, I did not know they were planning to file between my teeth until I was already in the chair.) I'm still shell shocked and in pain hours later. This was actual, literal torture. Years of work to overcome medical trauma and learn to trust dental professionals undone in under an hour. And I'm stuck with this place until I'm done with my invisaligns. Woo.
The $40 initial x-rays are a great deal.
I havent gone to the dentist in a decade because I have always been freaked out about getting my teeth touched. When I finally bit the bullet and went it was a surprisingly easy experience as far as treatment plan. I went today to get my first deep cleaning done and the doctors are so awesome. Deep cleaning sure wasn't fun but I felt like i was in good hands the entire time. I wish my insurance covered more care but 100% going back for my next deep cleaning.
I had a pretty disappointing experience at this office and won't be returning. A few things stood out: - The office didn't feel very sanitary overall, from the bathroom to the equipment. On top of that, there was a gaping hole in the ceiling of one of the exam rooms with water visibly leaking out; not exactly reassuring when you're sitting in a dental chair. -In terms of organization, I waited nearly 30 minutes before anyone started my cleaning, and three different people worked on my exam with no clear communication between them. It felt disjointed and rushed. - The hygienist was pretty rough during the cleaning, and when I asked her to floss around my built-in retainers, she acted annoyed by the request; which really shouldn't be an unusual ask at a dental office. - To top it off, the dentist didn't really give me an update on my overall teeth health or how my cavity caps looked. I left with zero feedback or peace of mind, which feels like a pretty basic thing to expect from a dental visit. Overall it was a poor experience and I'd encourage others to look elsewhere if cleanliness, organization, and patient care are important to you.
Such a friendly family feeling office! Created a health plan and made me feel really good about the steps to take to improve oral health. Dr, physicians, and office staff are knowledgeable and great to be around. No unnecessary upsells or scare tactics and accepts most insurance. Highly recommend even for anybody who has neglected dental visits for years!
Let me start off by saying the staff was friendly. Had my wisdom teeth removed in Oct, I had an infection on one side for 4 months hoping it would get better, abt 2 wks ago my face swelled up on one side due to the infection went to urgent care got antibiotics, it started to feel better, I could tell it wasn’t completely better after the antibiotics, for months I kept feeling something lodged btwn my tooth & gums right by the hole that didn't seem to want to close, had used the syringe they gv me months ago to see if that would removed whatever it was, was scared to mess with it, months went by tried to brush the area, tried to floss it, the other day I finally thought to use a toothpick to scrape the area to see if maybe that would work, it did, I saw a microscopic debris on it, so I scraped it on a dark surface, used a magnifying glass to look at what it was, it was a tiny & I mean tiny piece of clear plastic, not sure how it got there only that it had been there seemingly the whole time, it felt sharp, almost like a popcorn cornel, I was just too scared to mess with it, now hopefully it can heal all the way & close properly. I added some pictures bc I saved it in btwn some tape.
Watson is a great dental hygienist! He is really thorough and gave me a great cleaning. Patrick is a great dentist too always listens to concerns, doesn’t overprescribe. The staff at the front desk are always helpful and in a good mood. Love the whole team at Ideal Dental South Lamar.. so glad I found this awesome team of providers.. thank you!
