Bupa Dental Care Exeter provides dental care on New North Road in Exeter, England. Implants are considered by many dentists the most durable way to replace a missing tooth, since the titanium post fuses with the jaw bone over several months and then supports a crown that functions much like a natural tooth. Enough healthy bone is the main prerequisite, and a graft can build that up first if needed.
A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.
Cosmetic treatment is generally the least invasive branch of dentistry, built around changing how teeth look rather than fixing something broken. Whitening and bonding sit at the lighter end; veneers and reshaping involve more planning. Most cosmetic dental insurance excludes this kind of work, since it is elective rather than medically necessary.
Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.
A crown covers an entire damaged tooth — used when too much structure is missing for a filling to hold reliably, whether from a large fracture, extensive decay, or after root canal treatment. It restores both the shape and the biting strength of the tooth underneath.
A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring a false tooth to crowns placed on the teeth either side of the gap, creating a fixed replacement rather than a removable one. It is a longstanding alternative to an implant, particularly when the neighbouring teeth already need crowns. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. Was good they were able to facilitate an emergency appointment to fit a gold inlay within a day but when discussing the fee and paying upfront in full i realised that after the treatment there was an additional cost of £19 for the x ray which wasnt part of the treatment. Its not the money but it's the principal is at stake When this wasn't discussed when paying upfront prior and furthermore the receptionist said that they were not aware I needed an x ray and then also informed me that Bupa will.be closing down soon so I just Hope things work and there are no issues following this treatment. Maybe there needs to be clearer communication between dentist and receptionist so customers know what exactly they are paying for the treatment of Bupa.
A Great dentist friendly and helpful
Delighted. Could not be happier with the quality of service or the work itself.
Excellent service above and beyond can’t fault them!!
Absolutely atrocious. Receptionists are rude beyond belief and the phone does not seem to be manned. I have had appointments cancelled on the day twice and now my family have all been advised we can no longer attend unless we pay privately. This has left us in a very difficult situation with emergency treatment needed for my 8 year old and no response to calls regarding the referral.
All my experiences here have been good a part from their previous hygienist who was awful. The male dentist (can't remember his name) has always been great and has previously referred me to the hospital to have my wisdom teeth taken out. I've been told they have a new hygienist so will probably pay a visit soon. All staff have been friendly and I have never had a problem trying to get through to book an appointment. I don't understand the other reviews unless I've been always lucky to have a good experience.
I was a prospective new customer. Booked an appointment to see the hygienist 3 or so weeks ago. 3 days before the appointment get a text saying my appointment is cancelled and to ring them to rearrange. I have left 3 messages over 2 days on their phone. No reply. Press the option to be put on hold and you are automatically disconnected. Great customer care. Use them at your peril. Update to the above. It took them 9 days to ring me. I have since found a reliable dentist.
I have tried 33 times to contact the surgery this week at various times and the phone rings and rings and rings or it doesn't ring at all it just cuts out! God help you if you need an emergency appointment. Previously I've had to wait over 2 weeks for an emergency appointment, because they're utterly useless. Yet I've known other surgeries that get you in for same day or next day appointments without any issues!! The only reason I'm not giving one star is because when i actually do get in to see the dentist, the one i have is so lovely and helpful and he deserves his star!
