Dr. Hinton has displayed nothing but the the utmost professionalism, expertise, and transparency throughout the entire and ongoing treatment process. I was hesitant to have braces placed as an adult (considering I had braces prior to high school); however, Dr. Hinton and his extremely competent staff, have been nothing short of excellent. I would recommend Dr. Hinton to everyone and anyone looking to get Ortho, he and his staff are one of the absolute best at what they do.

I originally started treatment at this office under Dr. Rush and paid in full based on the treatment plan and financial agreement I signed at the beginning of care. I specifically chose this office for lingual braces while preparing for my wedding, and for most of my treatment things were smooth, organized, and professional. That completely changed after the practice transitioned to Dr. Hinton. After InBrace went out of business, I was assured the office would make things right and that alternative treatment options would be available if necessary. Instead, I was later scanned for additional wires and continued in treatment without any prior disclosure that I could be charged additional costs. Only afterward was I informed there could now be fees tied to the wires due to changes between the practice and the manufacturer. I also received conflicting information about pricing, including an email quoting one amount that was later dismissed as something I “should not have received.” Updated office policies were sent electronically but never reviewed or signed in office, yet treatment continued anyway without any clarification of changes to financial responsibility. When I attempted to address these concerns professionally and requested resolution under the agreement I originally signed, my concerns were dismissed and the financial terms of the contract were ignored entirely. It was not until I formally referenced the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners and the Arizona Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division that the office suddenly became willing to discuss removing the braces, waiving fees, and providing retention. At that point, I had already lost confidence in Dr. Hinton’s professionalism, communication, and handling of my case. I ultimately chose to leave the practice and seek treatment elsewhere to correct and stabilize what had become a very disappointing orthodontic outcome. Patients deserve transparency, professionalism, and clear communication about financial responsibility before treatment continues — especially after paying thousands of dollars in full upfront. I would strongly encourage anyone considering treatment here to carefully review everything they sign and ask detailed questions about how treatment changes, manufacturer changes, or additional costs will be handled. I hope everyone understands they have rights and to file with the dental board and Arizona attorney general if they are being wrong by Dr. Hinton as well. I understand the office may choose not to discuss patient-specific matters publicly, but this review reflects my personal experience and the written communication I received throughout treatment.

I can’t recommend Dr. Hinton as an orthodontist enough. My entire experience so far has been outstanding. Dr. Hinton is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely cares about his patients. He takes extra time to explain everything clearly and makes sure you’re comfortable throughout the entire process. The office staff is also fantastic—friendly, organized, and always helpful with scheduling or questions. The level of care and attention to detail really sets this practice apart. If you’re looking for an orthodontist who is skilled, honest, and truly dedicated to great results, this is the place to go. Five stars all the way.
