auto-syncedCape Fear Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practices at 2409 Robeson Street in Fayetteville, North Carolina — a specialist oral surgery practice serving Cumberland County and the broader southeastern North Carolina region. Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a recognized dental specialty that requires years of additional residency training beyond dental school, and a dedicated practice in Fayetteville gives the community and surrounding counties access to surgical expertise that previously may have required travel to larger urban centers.
The scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery is broad: surgical tooth extractions including impacted wisdom teeth, corrective jaw surgery for bite alignment disorders, treatment of facial trauma including fractures and lacerations, oral cancer biopsy and management in coordination with oncology, dental implant placement, and bone grafting procedures that prepare the jaw for implants or prosthetics. The practice's dual service categories — oral surgery and maxillofacial surgery — signal competency across this full clinical spectrum rather than a narrowed subset.
Fayetteville's Fort Liberty military population brings a particular patient profile to oral surgery practices in the area: dental trauma from training and deployment injuries, needs created by deferred dental care during active duty, and complex cases that arise in a population with high physical demands. The practice serves both military-affiliated patients and the broader Cumberland County civilian population through referral relationships with general dentists across the region.
Located at 2409 Robeson Street in the Terry Sanford area, the practice is accessible from the central Fayetteville street network. Patients are typically referred from general dentists or primary care physicians rather than self-presenting, though urgent surgical situations may be accommodated directly.

Was nervous about getting all my wisdom teeth extracted, but the staff put me at ease. The staff do their best to make sure you're comfortable during before and after the procedure. Also, they are helpful with any questions you may after leaving. Good job!!! And thank you for making the extraction as comfortable as possible!!!!
Went in kinda nervous, wanted a very painful molar removed, my dentist referral sent me here. My tooth extraction are usually not cut and dry, the staff here made me feel very at ease, even set a Saturday appointment for the surgery so I won't miss any time from work, I have no insurance and they gave me an upfront detail of exactly what cost would be, Much less than I thought..I can't wait to get this done now. I am very confident that I will be in kind and caring hands here I highly recommend them...got the tooth removed painlessly! They are true ROCKSTARS at what they do. I won't hesitate to recommend Cape Fear oral surgery to anyone!.

Dr. Appugounder & team at Cape Fear Oral Surgery is amazing. I had my wisdom teeth removed, they were extremely timely. Provided wonderful directions and have been there every step of the way with my recovery. Thank you Cape Fear Oral Surgery!
Came into get wisdom teeth removed. Ended up getting a dry socket and I came in about a week later to get treatment for it. Was not helped at all, rudely turned away and told I don’t have one, told me to just “take more pain medication” showed no sympathy for my pain and acted like i was being a nuisance . Pain continued to worsen after that and 2 days later I went and got a second opinion at a different dental clinic. They confirmed the presence of a dry socket and thankfully treated it properly.
