About Capitol Dental Group
Capitol Dental Group operates on Senter Road in the Lone Bluff area of San Jose, California. Clear aligners straighten teeth through a series of custom, removable trays, each worn for one to two weeks before moving to the next in the sequence. They suit mild to moderate crowding and spacing well, and are worn roughly twenty to twenty-two hours a day for treatment to stay on schedule.
A veneer is a thin custom shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape, length, or colour, most often used to address chips, gaps, or discoloration that whitening alone cannot fix. Traditional veneers require a small amount of enamel to be removed, which makes the change permanent.
Cosmetic treatment is generally the least invasive branch of dentistry, built around changing how teeth look rather than fixing something broken. Whitening and bonding sit at the lighter end; veneers and reshaping involve more planning. Most cosmetic dental insurance excludes this kind of work, since it is elective rather than medically necessary.
Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and seals the space, and allows the natural tooth to be kept rather than extracted. Its reputation for being painful is largely outdated — carried out under local anaesthetic, it typically relieves pain rather than causing it.
Emergency dental care covers sudden problems that will not wait for a routine appointment — severe pain, a knocked-out or fractured tooth, swelling, or a lost filling that leaves a tooth exposed. Same-day or urgent appointments are the point of an emergency service, rather than the standard multi-week booking window.
A crown covers an entire damaged tooth — used when too much structure is missing for a filling to hold reliably, whether from a large fracture, extensive decay, or after root canal treatment. It restores both the shape and the biting strength of the tooth underneath. worst Dental place I ever visited. DO NOT COME!!
I had a toothache for about three weeks. I first went to a dentist on Campbell. They took me in, I explained I was in pain, and the doctor did a cleaning and X-rays, ran my insurance, and sent me home saying that would help. I knew something wasn’t right. A few days later, the pain came back. I then reached out to Western Dental in Santa Clara and scheduled an appointment. When I arrived, they told me they couldn’t treat me because the other office had already charged my insurance for X-rays and a cleaning. I explained that I already had the X-rays, but the front desk assistants were very rude, left me standing there, and started talking to each other. After waiting several minutes with no help, I left. I went to another dental office that took X-rays and told me the only solution was to extract the tooth for $450 out of pocket. I didn’t feel comfortable with that because I truly didn’t believe extraction was the right answer. Finally, I called my kids’ dentist and they recommended Capitol Dental Group. From the moment I called to the end of my visit, I felt listened to and cared for. Everyone—from the reception staff to the assistants in the back—was kind, professional, and patient. Dr. Natally and Dr. Thinh were both incredibly caring and took the time to explain everything. We are already working on my dental issues, I’m not losing any teeth, and I am so happy I found this office. I will be bringing my entire family here from now on. I highly recommend this office.
I drive an hour and a half each way just to bring my kids to this dental office—and I would do it again every time! That alone says a lot. The office is always spotless, modern, and welcoming. They always have good music playing on the tv. And a comfy couch to chill on. From the front desk staff to the hygienists, nurses, and doctors—everyone is genuinely kind, professional, and incredibly patient. What really stands out to me is how the staff takes the time to explain everything to my kids in a way they understand. They never rush us, and they always treat my children with respect and compassion. My kids actually like coming to the dentist now—they’re never scared or nervous, which is a huge relief as a parent. I also love how organized and efficient their system is—we’re always seen on time, and if I’m running late they are kind about it. and scheduling appointments is a breeze. The waiting room is kid-friendly, and they even have little rewards or goodies after the visit, which my kids look forward to. It gives me peace of mind knowing I can trust the team enough to let my children go to the back without me. That’s how comfortable and confident I feel in the care they provide. Honestly, if you’re looking for a dental office that goes above and beyond, this is the place! A lovely personal bonus is that (I think) this is an Asian owned businesses which I love to support. ❤️
I have been going to this dental office since November, and I have only had amazing experiences. Since COVID, I had not been to the dentist, mainly due my mostly negative experiences at the dentist in the past. However, when transferring to Capitol Dental Group, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff treat you with great respect, and for me, especially my doctor, Dr. Ben. My teeth are in pretty poor condition due to mental health, and so going to the dentist for a cleaning was a nightmare. I wanted to improve the condition of my teeth, but I understood that at their condition it showed only plain neglect. When Dr. Ben came to analyze my teeth, I was expecting backlash, criticism, and ridicule. Instead, he not only showed understanding, but also empathy and compassion. He expressed his gratitude for me being honest and trying to do better, and to not be ashamed for such. Instead of focusing on my poor habits, he emphasized the consequences, yet without causing any fear, just awareness. He was always calm and patient with me, and always did his best to help me understand my treatment plans. The following appointments, he noticed my habits improved and congratulated and praised me each time. A small gesture, with a large impact. We would also have casual conversation about our lives in passing. In the beginning, I thought he was just making small talk and would soon forget. However since then, he has brought up topics we discussed and details I mentioned months ago that even I myself forgot about. He showed that he not only cared about his job, but also his clients on a personal level. Younger me would be completely nonplussed if she were to hear this, but I now actually enjoy going to the dentist. He encouraged me to do better; at the beginning for him, and by the end for myself. Unfortunately, I found out today at the end of my dental filling that it would be his last day at this office. Hearing this news, I was honestly heartbroken. I mean, I was genuinely considering inviting him to my graduation. Despite only having 7 or so appointments with him, he has made such a large impact on my life--which shows exactly the type of dentist--and person--he is. He is not only a doctor, but also a caretaker. While I will be continuing with Capitol Dental Group due to it's reputation for this kind of hospitality, I will always regret not continuing with Dr. Ben. I was too afraid to ask him where he would be continuing, but I hope he reads this review and understand the impact he has made on my life. Thank you both Capitol Dental Group and Dr. Ben for everything you have done for me.
Every one is really friendly and nice. There dentist appointment are quick trust me the most you'll have to wait is like 3 minutes but other than that is quick. They tend to your needs quick only thing which is probably my own judgement is medical won't cover certain specialties but other then that atmosphere is great they respect their clients and their needs. Is a little bit crazy I never heard of this dental facility but is pretty good should advertise more or expand your offices more and give your dentist and dental assistance more of pay for the great service they provide.
Excellent communication and customer service from this dental clinic. Up to date on tech. One of my favorites that accepts adult Medi-Cal (denti-cal). To start service they will text you a form to fill out online with the screening questions unless you prefer to do it on paper in person. I haven't seen the dentist himself but my disabled clients that I brought here didn't have complaints, unlike many other dentists that work with low-income patients.
