About Carroll Pulmonary & Sleep Associates: Amit Narula, DO

Based on Washington Heights in Westminster, Maryland, Carroll Pulmonary & Sleep Associates: Amit Narula, DO is a dental practice serving the area. General dentistry covers the routine and restorative care most people need most often — examinations, cleanings, fillings, and preventive checks that catch problems while they are still small and inexpensive to treat. Regular attendance, roughly every six months for most patients, is what makes that early-catch approach actually work.

A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward.

Day-to-day oral health still comes down to the basics between visits — brushing twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between the teeth, and limiting how often sugary food and drink appear through the day matters more than the total amount eaten at once. Regular professional care is what catches whatever those habits do not.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost. This page has the practice's contact details and full service list. The staff here are wonderful people. Dr Narula is very condescending. Doctor to patient communication in the hospital was absolutely horrible. My wife was being prepped for a procedure and Dr Narula walked by and I asked him if my wife had pneumonia and he shrugged his shoulders and threw his hands up in the air never saying a word. Would not recommend this doctor.

Called to schedule an appointment today, since I was referred by my primary care. Phone message says their phones are OFF because of staffing issues! Unable to leave a message. No other numbers provided. Very unprofessional and quite concerning!

1st time patient and wow what an experience. First off on my way to my appointment my vehicle broke down a quarter of a mile away. In a panic I called the office to let them know I had broken down and I was walking to their office. A lady pulled up in a parking lot and asked if I was her patient. Omg I was beside myself that they went out of their way to come get me. The Doctor Mari was awesome too, very personable and detailed with information and answering any questions. I have found a great Doctors office with a great staff and great Doctor,

My experience was not good! To begin with, I was apprehensive and had many questions about this new medical issue. My doctor was Amid Narula, and the WORST doctor that I have ever seen. To start, he was very condescending, in any question I asked, and he made me feel dumb to even ask a question. I was at a loss for words for the NASTY deposition he displayed during my visit. It was to the point that I just didn't want to ask any more questions. Because of the rushed appointment, I walked away more confused than I did when I went in because of the lack of time he took to explain. Because of this bad experience, I really don't want to go back. If I could give 0 stars, I would for this awful experience.

The office staff are very kind and helpful. I love Dr Narula and have several friends that see him as well. They all love him. I have never had any problems getting appointments, c-pap scripts sent or prescriptions. Once in awhile I may have to make a 2nd call. People need to realize that is a busy office and they can’t expect perfection. I don’t care who you are no one is perfect !!!
