About Cascade Braces
Cascade Braces is a dental practice on Southeast Stark Street in the Rockwood area of Portland, Oregon. Clear aligners straighten teeth through a series of custom, removable trays, each worn for one to two weeks before moving to the next in the sequence. They suit mild to moderate crowding and spacing well, and are worn roughly twenty to twenty-two hours a day for treatment to stay on schedule.
Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent.
Payment and insurance arrangements vary by practice and by treatment, so it is worth asking directly what is covered and what options exist for anything that is not, rather than assuming either way. Getting that clarified before treatment starts avoids surprises once it is underway.
Beyond any single treatment, most dental visits start with an examination — checking for decay, reviewing the gums, and looking at existing fillings or crowns — often alongside X-rays where there is a reason to look between or beneath teeth. That groundwork is what a dentist uses to explain any findings and set out next steps before you leave.
Routine attendance, roughly every six months for most people, is what actually keeps small problems small. A lot of decay and gum disease develops without any pain in its early stages, which is why regular checkups matter even when nothing seems to be wrong, rather than only booking an appointment once something hurts.
A first appointment at a new practice typically covers a full examination, a review of your dental and medical history, and a professional cleaning, with X-rays if you do not have recent ones. It is also a reasonable time to raise any longer-term concerns, cosmetic or otherwise, so they can be factored into a plan going forward. Super happy with my results. Whole staff was excellent and Dr. Bacon is so sweet.
I rarely leave reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience because this has been one of the most frustrating healthcare experiences I’ve ever had. I trusted this office with my smile, my bite, and a significant amount of money. After more than two years of treatment, I am left with a bite that feels worse than when I started, speech changes that have caused me to develop a lisp, and ongoing concerns that have not been adequately addressed. What hurts the most is feeling like my concerns were dismissed. I was never told that I would have to accept a compromised bite, nor was I ever given the impression that my final result might not function properly. Had these risks been clearly explained, I would have made a different decision about my treatment. As a patient, I expected transparency, communication, and a willingness to work with me when problems arose. Instead, I felt unheard and unsupported. When I tried to obtain my records and treatment information to better understand what happened, I encountered additional obstacles that only added to my frustration. This experience has caused me emotional stress, loss of confidence in my smile, and a great deal of disappointment. Orthodontic treatment is a major investment, and patients deserve clear communication, informed consent, and respect when they raise concerns. I hope sharing my experience helps future patients ask questions, advocate for themselves, and fully understand all treatment options and possible outcomes before committing to care at this office.
This place is running the best scam. We moved to Oregon just after my daughter got her braces off. Unfortunately her retainer was accidentally thrown away at a restaurant. Came here to get a replacement retainer. $200 for 3D printer trash. It didn't even last 6mon. The retainer broke down the middle (no she does not eat with it and she takes are of it) between her front teeth. They have absolutely no warranties on these retainers. So I spend another $200 the next one is too tight and doesn't sit on her molers she is told to just wear anyways and her teeth will shift to the retainer, or I can spend another $200 and have it re-done. How about I just be done with you. 3D printers are not a good choice for retainers. They're hard brittle pieces of trash.
This place is insanely amazing, best word to describe this place is supercalifragalisticexpidaliosus Lexi always made me feel at home in truly happy with the results my confidence is up the roof and to think that they got you covered for any worse case scenario makes this place shine brighter than any other place. Love love love !!!!
I got my braces at Cascade Braces, and the experience has been outstanding from day one. The staff is incredibly accommodating, they take the time to answer every question thoroughly, and the appointments run like clockwork once you’re in the chair. You never feel rushed, and they make sure you’re comfortable and informed every step of the way. Everyone there is professional, friendly, and genuinely cares about your experience and your results. There’s no reason to second guess coming here. Save that energy for deciding what to have for lunch and regretting it later, not for choosing the team that’s going to give you an amazing smile. When it comes to something as important as your teeth and your confidence, you want a place that’s consistent, caring, and clearly knows what they’re doing. Cascade Braces checks every box.
I highly recommend this place! I got my braces done in just an hour and a half, and the time flew by. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. The doctor was professional and reassuring. If you’re considering getting braces, don’t hesitate to come here, you’ll be in great hands!
