About Castle Dental

Castle Dental is a dental practice on Nolensville Pike in Nashville, Tennessee. General dentistry covers the routine and restorative care most people need most often — examinations, cleanings, fillings, and preventive checks that catch problems while they are still small and inexpensive to treat. Regular attendance, roughly every six months for most patients, is what makes that early-catch approach actually work.

Digital X-rays are a routine part of dental care because they show what a visual exam alone cannot — decay forming between teeth, bone loss below the gumline, and how developing adult teeth are positioned in children. They use a low radiation dose and are taken on a schedule matched to individual risk rather than at every single visit.

Left untreated, small dental problems tend not to stay small. A minor cavity that would have been a straightforward filling can progress to needing root canal treatment and a crown, and early gum inflammation that would have reversed with a good cleaning can progress toward bone loss around the teeth. Catching things early is generally the difference in both effort and cost.

Continuity matters in dental care — seeing the same practice over time means your history, X-rays, and any patterns in your oral health are already on file, rather than starting from scratch at each visit. That familiarity is part of what a regular dental home offers beyond any single appointment.

Dental anxiety is common, and most practices are used to working with nervous patients — through clear explanations of what is about to happen, a slower pace where needed, and sedation options for patients who want them. Avoiding the dentist out of anxiety tends to make eventual treatment more involved, not less.

Children benefit from starting dental visits early, generally by their first birthday or within six months of the first tooth coming through, mainly so they become familiar with the setting before any treatment is actually needed. Establishing that routine early tends to make ongoing checkups far less stressful for both child and parent. Stay away from this clinic. It is an absolute mess, and the only doctor available treats you like you're stupid while doing a terrible job. She was supposed to fit a crown, but instead of adjusting the crown itself, she ground down my tooth over five times trying to force it in. On top of that, she tried to place it while there was still active decay/cavities underneath. When I called her out, she dismissed me, said I didn't know what I was talking about, and blamed the lab, all while continuing to destroy my tooth. She is completely uneducated in patient care, has zero manners, and absolutely no empathy.

I was treated with the most respect. Twice I asked for help with directions I was treated with patience and kindness. The dental hygienist was just wonderful, she took her time and explained too me what she was doing as she worked with fitting my crow in place my crown. Thank each of you all for your patience and kindness.

One of the biggest mistakes you can make is trusting this place with your health. At the beginning, they are very friendly and get you to sign an expensive treatment plan, but after that both the attitude and the quality of service completely change. Although I was supposed to have check-ups every 6 weeks, they often refused to schedule appointments, saying the doctor was unavailable and pushing it as far as 4 months out. There were also times when they called one day before to cancel my appointment, but did not offer a new date. I constantly had to follow up myself just to get rescheduled. I also tried reaching out to castle dental customer service and management to find a solution, but I never received any proper response. The front desk staff especially Brenda(?), could really improve their communication and attitude. Thankfully, I moved and continued my treatment elsewhere. Note: Even getting my transfer documents took multiple emails and phone calls, and they only sent them after about 3 weeks.

I need to preface this by saying that I’m not a dentist hater like most people. I actually love the feeling of leaving the dentist with clean teeth. Never had an issue with root canals, extractions, none of it. But… This was easily the worst medical experience I’ve ever had. I had TWO procedures botched. They insisted on extra things I didn’t want, but trusted them. They botched the first one, I went back and had it done again, and they botched THAT one too. I ended up going to another dentist and had a THIRD oral surgery in less than a week. The new one charged me 30% of my first debacle, and fixed me right up with zero issues. Then this castle dental butcher shop had the unmitigated gall to give ME attitude for demanding a refund, which I never got. So they not only put me through hell, and made me miss a week of work, they also robbed me of nearly a thousand dollars. They are rude and incompetent and mean and awful. Don’t EVER go here for any reason.

I had a great experience at Castle Dental & Orthodontics during my most recent cleaning visit. The staff was welcoming, professional, and made me feel comfortable from check-in to check-out. The hygienist was very thorough yet gentle, and everything was explained clearly along the way. The office was clean and well organized, and the visit was efficient without feeling rushed. I really appreciate the care and attention to detail—definitely recommend Castle Dental for anyone looking for quality dental care.
